Giveaway: Hong Kong’s first malt whisky festival

Updated on April 2 2014

Whisky has long been the drink of choice for many men and a considerable amount of ladies in Hong Kong. Whether it be a glass on the rocks or dare we say it, mixed in with green tea (an acquired taste, we’re sure), we simply can’t get enough of it.

In collaboration with Crown Wine Cellars and Aston Martin, Malt Masters Asia will be hosting Hong Kong’s first malt whisky festival on Saturday, 12 April 2014 at the Crown Wine Cellars on Shouson Hill. Here you’ll get to sample some of Scotland’s most premium single malt Scotch whiskies in a casual tasting setting. Whisky experts, personalities and brand ambassadors will also be on hand to share their tips, knowledge and advice on this golden spirit.

The festival will feature over 50 malt whiskies from brands such as Macallan, Glenmorangie and Glenlivet as well as other whisky-related products such as cigars and glassware. You can even learn how to shake up delicious whisky cocktails at the Crown Wine Cellars bar.

The festival will be split into two sessions, the first from 12pm to 3pm and the second from 3:30pm to 6:30pm. Tickets are available now for HK$800 at Ticketflap. Aside from the tasting event, the festival will also host a series of six masterclasses for an extra HK$200 and an exclusive VIP “festival preview” dinner on Friday, 11 April 2014 for HK$2,500.
