With a grand opening slated for this summer, and some of the hotel already opened, the Reverie Saigon is the latest luxury hotel to hit Vietnam‘s hospitality scene. Featuring 286 rooms, the Reverie Saigon commands the upper and lower floors of a contemporary, 39-storey tower in Ho Chi Minh City and an emerging reputation as the boldest expression of opulence to debut in Vietnam, ever.
With grandeur that epitomises the best of Italian design, the hotel transcends expectations of place to a contemporary exploration of unapologetic splendor. From its rooms and suites to its restaurants and bars, as well as its lavish public spaces, all feature indelible expressions of original craftsmanship and artistry.
As visually arresting as the hotel is within, so too are the expansive views from each and every room and suite. You’ve never seen Saigon quite like this, from the monumental colonial French architecture on the streets below to the dramatic twists of the Saigon River and the panorama of the sprawling city itself, one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic destinations.
With frontage on Saigon’s two most storied avenues, Dong Khoi Street and Nguyen Hue Boulevard, The Reverie beats at the heart of the city’s prestigious central urban area — District 1. As in Hong Kong’s Central, London’s Knightsbridge and New York’s Midtown, if it’s happening in Saigon, it’s happening in ‘D1’.
On the Dong Khoi front, an elegant street – once known to the French as rue Catinat, and to a later generation as Tu Do –slides by in a parade of upscale shops, retailing the world’s most glamorous brands. On the Nguyen Hue front, the boulevard runs between the Saigon River and the 1908-built Hôtel de Ville (now the People’s Committee Hall), showcasing the city’s newest pedestrian-friendly, tree-lined mall, a picturesque roundabout and glimpses of old Saigon. Within walking distance are some of the city’s most notable attractions – the French colonial Opera House, the neo-classical Central Post Office, the historic Reunification Palace and Ho Chi Minh City Museum.
Currently, with 12 categories of guestrooms the hotel offers the largest accommodation in Ho Chi Minh City, with room sizes ranging from an ample 43-53 square metres (462-570 square feet), and 62 suites ranging from a spacious 63 square metres (678 square feet) to a palatial 313 square metres (3,369 square feet). Each is individually furnished by some of Italy’s finest design houses – including Visionnaire, Provasi, Giorgetti, and Colombo Stile — with interiors ranging from sophisticated modern and classical European to whimsically sassy.
In addition, the Times Square tower is home to 89 extended-stay apartments, comprised of 78 one-bedroom units and 11 two-bedroom units. Ranging in size from 80-140 square metres (860-1,507 square feet), the full-service residences feature classical or contemporary interiors, replete with Italian-made furnishings.
Butlers and private chefs are available on request and residents are at liberty to indulge all of the hotel’s amenities, from the concierge desk to housekeeping services, from the hotel’s cars to the hotel’s pool. Apartment residents have the luxury of their own fitness facility.
To celebrate their opening, the Reverie Saigon is giving away a two-night stay for two in the deluxe room, inclusive of, breakfast for two at the Café Cardinal, tasting dinner and two vouchers for a two-hour spa treatment each.
