Absolut Electrik art bar at Vibes
Thursday, 10 March until 26 March, from 7pm to 8pm

Vibes have created an artsy pop-up art bar with Absolut Electrik and local creative talents that will run from 10-26 March. The bar will feature four Absolut vodka cocktails including “I love Mona Lisa!” and “36 views of Mount Fuji”.

House of Vans 2016 x HKWalls opening party
Wednesday, 16 March 2016 from 6pm to 10pm 

Vans have teamed up with the HKWalls festival this year to celebrate their 50th anniversary with live street art, a photo exhibition by Mike O’Mealley and live DJ sets. To kick things off, House of Vans will be having an opening party with DJs Ray Barbee and The Mattson 2 with live drawing by Mysterious Al. This will then be followed by a closing party hosted by HKWalls on 27 March.

Media x Mumm Harbour party
Monday, 21 March 2016 from 8:30 until midnight

To celebrate the return of homegrown art fair Art Central for its second year, G.H. Mumm will be hosting an invitation-only party by the harbourfront. As the first party of the week, the Media x Mumm party will be kicking off all the art happenings with a night of champagne and live performances from new media artist Jack McLean and a renowned circuit DJ. Guests will also get a first look at two exclusive Mumm limited edition bottles of Cordon Rouge, including their new reflective David Guetta bottle.

Davidoff cocktail party at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong
Tuesday, 22 March from 8:30pm until 11pm

Every time Art Basel hits Hong Kong, Davidoff’s cocktail reception party at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong pool is always one of the must-attend extravangazas of the week. Though there’s no word yet on who will be making a special performance (last year it was Dita Von Teese), we’re sure Davidoff VIPs and guests won’t be disappointed. The Carribean-themed night will feature tropical drinks, an oriental fusion buffet and of course, a chance to sample some of Davidoff’s signature cigars.

Audemars Piguet after-dinner party
Wednesday, 23 March from 9:30 ’till late

Audemars Piguet will also be returning as an associate partner and sponsor for Art Basel with a brand new lounge designed by Chilean-born New York-based artist and designer Sebastian Errazuriz. The Absolut art bar is back this year (find out more here) with a pop-up at both Art Central and Zuma and a special collaboration with UK artist James Ostrer and his alter-ego, Guru Jimmy. The Absolut art bar party will offer guests a chance to meet Guru Jimmy in person, enjoy several live performances, limited edition Absolut art cocktails as well as tunes spun by DJ Adrien Callier.

The Art of Hope
Friday, 1 April from 9pm ’till midnight

Shortly after Hong Kong Art Week, the Hong Kong Adventist Hospital Foundation (HKAHF) will be hosting a fundraiser in collaboration with Above Second Gallery and Marie France Van Damme at Loft 22 in California Tower.

Above Second will be exhibiting contemporary artist Javier Martin’s latest work Lies & Light including his controversial Louis Vuitton collection and a performance art piece. A portion of all the sales will go directly to HKAHF’s cancer fund.

Drinks and canapés will be served with an after-party continuing at Ce La Vi after 11pm.
