Charity and charm go hand-in-hand with Bulgari x Save the Children

With its beginnings in 2009, Bulgari has successfully partnered with international organisation Save the Children to curate an exclusive jewellery collection with proceeds going to the charity. A considerable portion of sales from this collection, all custom-designed by the brand — go towards saving children’s lives, fighting for their rights and helping them achieve their highest potential.

To date the Bulgari collection which comprises of a ring and a pendant has helped the charity raise USD$42 million, reaching 1 million beneficiaries in 29 countries across five continents. This can go along way to help children in areas struck by natural disasters, war and conflict, who suffer from disabilities or who live in poverty.

The new bracelet just added to the collection is part of the brand’s new initiative to empower youth with “soft skills” and to build and improve their communities. The bracelet is inspired by the brand’s iconic B.zero1 jewellery line and is crafted in sterling silver and black ceramic.

Recently, the brand embarked on a journey to visit ethnic minority children in Vietnam, taking with them Singaporean actress Jeanette Aw, Malaysian actress-producer Debbie Goh, Thai DJ-entrepreneur Hattaya Wongkrachang and Miss Universe Vietnam 2015, Pham Huong to meet the children. The group travelled to the Dien Bien Province to participate in this first-of-its-kind visit between Bulgari and Save the Children in Southeast Asia, and had the opportunity to interact with the children, and talk to the teachers and kids from the school’s they visited.

This trip paves the way for Bulgari and Save the Children’s new initiative in Vietnam — a bilingual educational program to assist ethnic minority children and their teachers and improve communication and their learning environment. This will be done with the aid of Bulgari’s € 200,000 donation.

The new Bulgari x Save the Children bracelet is available in Bulgari stores worldwide and retails for €480 (USD$510) of which €75 (USD$100) is directly donated to Save the Children.
