Louis Vuitton collaborates with Marc Newson on new rolling luggage

Updated on August 5 2016

Australian Marc Newson, whose creations have ranged from aerospace and technology, furniture as well as fashion, is widely considered to be the most influential industrial designers of his generation. One of his more notable designs, Lockheed Lounge, is the world’s most expensive design object, fetching £2,434,500 to be exact, at an auction in London.

This year, Newson is joining forces with Louis Vuitton to create a series of new rolling luggages. Featuring both canvas and leather in eleven different colours, this new array of luggage highlights three unique innovations; an ultra-thin titanium layer bonded to the luggage’s composite shell creating a sturdy yet light-weighted combination, simple one zip puller closing system that allows a full-width extendable cane and finally, Louis Vuitton’s first four-wheeled luggage — creating total ease of mobility for the modern-day jetsetter.

Check out the range of colours for these gorgeous modern day travel trunks and get ready for a little travel-inspiration.

The new rolling luggages will be available at Marina Bay Sands, Ngee Ann City and ION Orchard end September. Prices range from S$3650 to S$8100.
