Let the Prairie In...
We had to do a double take after seeing the tantalizing ad campaign for this Vodka. You'd never guess it at first sight, but Prairie is certified organic and certified kosher. In fact, it's very green, despite the very goth appeal.
The drink itself is rather impressive. Made with corn grown in a cooperative of 900 Minnesota farmers, it's been distilled to a grand, almost creamy, smoothness. The bottle is made of recycled glass, and it's packed in kraft cardboard boxes made of sustainable forest wood pulp. Keeping tune with their waste not want not ideals, the corncobs leftover after production are converted into biogas energy to power the stills.
Sipping this might not stop global warming, but it's certainly a step in the right direction. With conscious production and a sleek sexy ads, we wouldn't mind bringing out a bottle at the next party.
