Hotel QUOTE in Taipei city of Taiwan has lived up to that statement. A small upscale hotel under the Gloria Hotel Group, Hotel QUOTE first opened its doors in 2009. Perfect for business travellers and tourists alike, the hotel is conveniently located just 5 minutes away from Nan Jing MRT station and a stone’s throw away from the major shopping district, Taipei Arena.
The first impression upon your entrance to Hotel QUOTE would be its upscale vibe from the distinctive wood and metallic designs, but the rooms on the upper floors are surprisingly toned down with its comfortable and warm spaces.
The compact rooms and well-crafted interior design creates a quaint and intimate feel for all guests that is unrivalled in most luxury hotels.
There are six room types: Q, U, O, T, E, and QUOTE, each with a different size and functionality. I enjoyed my stay in the QUOTE room (comprising of Q and U-balcony rooms with a shared corridor). The shared corridor caters to bigger families, by giving an extra space for privacy and safety.
The bathroom is luxurious in space and design, and the king-sized beds are comfortable enough to ensure a good night’s rest. There's even a range of complimentary electronic massage machines sent to your rooms upon request.
Working in the privacy of your room is not a problem at all as every room is equipped with a working desk, complimentary wireless internet, a coffee machine and a Bose iPad dock at your convenience.
Look no further when it comes to business meetings: Hotel QUOTE has a meeting room that fits 6 people, equipped with LCD TV, computers, and video conference equipments.
The highlight of this hotel is its "ladies floor", where no male guests and hotel staff are allowed. The main purpose of this floor is to provide a haven for all ladies. Besides the usual facilities that are available on other floors, extra perks of the ladies floor include a selection of 26 colours of nail polish and an assortment of makeup and hair accessories in each room. Perfect for a getaway with your girlfriends.
The complimentary 24/7 breakfast and snack bar is a fine touch to my stay.
