The St. Regis Hotels & Resorts has reached another milestone with the highly anticipated opening of The St. Regis Shenzhen, now the world’s tallest St. Regis hotel as well as the tallest building in the city.

Following recent openings in Bangkok, Tianjin and Sanya Yalong Bay, The St. Regis Shenzhen marks the brand’s fourth hotel opening in Asia in 2011. Designed by famed architect Sir Terry Farrell, The St. Regis Shenzhen is perched atop of the 100-storey Kingkey 100, occupying the top 28 floors.
“The opening of The St. Regis Shenzhen represents a significant moment for St. Regis, as the brand continues to grow globally in destinations designed for the new generation of affluent travelers,” says Paul James, Global Brand Leader St. Regis and The Luxury Collection Hotels & Resorts.
The St. Regis Shenzhen offers 257 guest rooms and 40 suites with spectacular views of the city (which is without a doubt considering it being the tallest building in Shenzhen). The guest rooms will be featuring luxurious beds with 300-count Egyptian linens, lush bath towels and robes, flat screen cable televisions and wireless Internet access. Additionally, The St. Regis Shenzhen will be the first hotel in the city to provide fully customized iPad2 remote controls in each room, allowing guests to easily connect and manage all of the room’s amenities.
The hotel offers 2,100 square metres of function space, including a ballroom and eight event rooms.
The hotel will also feature its very own Iridium Spa, a collection of world class restaurants and lounges, such as The St. Regis Bar, The Drawing Room, Social, Elba and Decanter. The St. Regis Shenzhen is also the first hotel in Shenzhen to offer the signature St. Regis Butler Service to all guests. Definitely many firsts for this hotel.
Located in the heart of the Caiwuwei financial district, The St. Regis Shenzhen is just an elevator ride away from some luxurious shopping on the lower floors of the Kingkey 100. The Shenzhen Stock Exchange and the Di Wang building are also a short walk from the hotel as well as the Da Ju Yuan Metro Station, which offers quick access to the rest of the city.
