If your party routine includes dining followed by drinks and dancing the night away, stop right there! You’re bound to lose people on the way. Secure a trendy venue and woo fellow partygoers with all of the above, plus more.
Initiated by a group of libertine artists in Amsterdam, supperclub is conquering the world. Having left its stamp on Istanbul, San Francisco, Rome, and now, Singapore, expect the supperclub phenomenon to take over metropolises like Moscow, Paris, Barcelona, and Berlin.
Managing Director Orhan Koç says, "supperclub is a restaurant, bar, and club all in one. People come for pre-dinner cocktails, enjoy the five course surprise menu, dj's, vj's, chefs, art, and stay for drinks and the party which religiously follows dinner. No other restaurant we know of has a creative platform that can interchange artistes and staff from other cities."
Unique concepts are at the heart of the supperclub experience. In 2003, the supperclub cruise set sail, propelling entertainment to the next level. Four decks mirror the supperclub rooms, each of which boast extraordinary design concepts.
Enter a room as white as snow with La Salle Neige. Sleek and elegant, the restaurant greets guests with two stunning floors of beds. Stark black leather walls and white lace curtains draw the eye upwards to a high ceiling, with a metamorphosing video wall reflecting the pristine surroundings. With no menu or standard utensils, choice and decorum are thrown out the window.
Curious about what the night has in store? Lie back, slip off your shoes, indulge in great food, and be wowed by classic musical acts and bizarre installations. Hold your breath and hang on tight because you’re privy to underground DJ's spinning the music of tomorrow.
After a delightful meal, seduce that special someone into Le Bar Rouge. Be inspired by the breathtaking city view from ruby-tinted glass windows. Are things heating up? Order a signature supperclub cocktail to keep things chilled.
If temperatures continue to rise, escape to the uni-sex Les Toilettes Noire, ‘The Black Toilet’. Linger in the corridor and catch someone's eye through strategically placed see-through mirrors. When you’re not busy batting those eyelashes, soak in the intense black and minimalist steel interior.
Need something more hush-hush? Slip away to La Chambre Privée, 'The Private Room', where a square stainless steel bed transforms into a dance floor before your very eyes. Experience sensuality in full bloom as you stut your stuff in a room bathed in royal purple.
Whether or not you're a smoker, venture into Le Fumoir, 'The Smoking Room', for a surreal experience. Life-sized cigarettes create the illusion of walking into a pack- an original concept but you may feel less inclined to take another puff.
Unsure what to expect? Mission accomplished. "supperclub Singapore will shape itself once the outlet is opened", says Manager Sergio Vent.
The much anticipated launch on Aug 14 remains under wraps, but here's a sneak peak. Watch out for countertenor and sound art from Cyril Wong & Wyxmm, as well as a spoken word performance by Bani Haykal.
Expect a sensory tease so release your inhibitions and throw caution to the wind. According to Orhan Koç, “Singapore over any other cities in Asia has a natural hunger for new experiences.” Are you ready to embark on the supperclub adventure?
