A fusion of past and present was the theme of the day at La Perla’s flagship store opening in Parkview Green, Beijing. Guests got up close and personal with La Perla as they were treated to an intimate insight into the brand’s history, literally. Vintage illustrations and archive pieces were showcased as a throwback to the past. At the same time, a stylish fashion show displaying looks from their latest Spring/Summer 2013 collection was put on, giving guests an enthralling preview of what to expect from the new store.
With strong Italian identity and craftsmanship, the Spring/Summer 2013 collection is a contemporary reinvention of the Sicilian aristocratic style of the 19th Century, capturing La Perla’s timeless elegance. Designed by Buratti & Battiston, the cozy flagship store emanates a feminine, sensual atmosphere due to the combination of soft lighting, laced glass panels and silky carpets. The romantic environment no doubt sets the perfect mood for female shoppers.
“We are very pleased to open La Perla’s flagship store at Parkview Green, a location that perfectly matches La Perla DNA and philosophy,” announced Andrea Bonardi, managing director of La Perla Asia. This is currently the fourth store in Beijing alone and there are plans to open a fifth boutique in the near future.
Apart from its sophisticated lingerie, La Perla’s first monograph book entitled ‘Lingerie & Desire’ was presented at the event. It is a passionate exploration of the La Perla universe through different fashions, trends and moods, illustrating the brand’s best photo shots of its history. The book will be available in La Perla boutiques for US$80.
