You may recognise the name Erdem Moralioglu from the fashion designer’s successful collaboration with H&M last year. Having dressed some of the dreamiest A-listers, from Cate Blanchett, Keira Knightley, Michelle Obama to Kate Middleton, the London-based designer has teamed up with NARS to curate a floral-inspired makeup collection, which seamlessly reflects his ‘romantic with an edge’ aesthetic and floral motifs that has become synonymous with Erdem’s eponymous fashion label.

Debuted at the designer’s Fall 2018 show during London Fashion Week, the dreamy, highly-covetable Strange Flowers collection stays true to Erdem’s ethereal aesthetic with floral-embossed pastel blue packaging and a mix of fashion-forward shades that are at once demure and daring. The 13-piece line includes includes six lipsticks named after wild flowers such as Moon Orchid and Carnal Carnation, two shimmey blushes, two highly wearable eyeshadow palettes, a pearlescent highlighting pencil and NAR’s first lip powder palette and blotting paper.

With makeup formulas that are just as breathtaking as the packaging, what really caught our attention from the Strange Flowers collection is the Poison Rose Lip Powder Palette. Lip powder may be the new lipstick trend at the moment, but Erdem knew from day one that he wanted a lip powder in the collection.

‘I love the effect of stamped-on, really matte red lips. They remind me of my mother who would always wear a red lip as a sign she was ready to go out and face the world.’

Packed with a creamy nude primer and four vibrant matte and shimmer powder shades of petal pinks, rose reds, and poisonous purples, which can be worn alone or layered on the lips, this innovative palette also comes with its own lip brush so you can mix up the perfect shades of your dreams.
