Inspired by the dynamic forces of the air, the sea, and the land, Breitling’s latest #SquadOnAMission campaign brings together leading personalities from different fields to celebrate the launch of the Swiss watchmaker’s new aviation watch collection: the Navitimer 8.
Launched in Thailand on July 6th at Siam Paragon’s Hall of Fame, the watches received a star-studded reception as celebrities and distinguished guests mingled over champagne and canapes at the exclusive event. Celebrated globally, the #SquadOnAMission campaign brings together three-person groups (that is, squads) to represent the values of the Breitling brand. For Thailand, Khun Louis Scott, Khun Weir Sukollawat Kanarot, and Khun Matthew Deane formed the eponymous #SquadOnAMission, sharing their passion for the famed timepiece and demonstrating, in great style, three very different ways to sport it.
Breitling has long been known for its strong link to aviation, having designed chronographs for the Royal Air Force almost a century ago. The Navitimer 8 model holds its roots in the Huit Aviation Department, established by the watchmakers in 1938 to produce cockpit instruments and pilot watches both for civilian and military use. Since then, the Navitimer 8 has become an icon in the world of aviation watches, noted for its durability, precision, and excellence in design. The new collection holds five distinct models that come as a stylish heir to the Swiss watchmaker’s heritage and rich aviation tradition.
