A little bit of Rome has arrived in Bangkok. Celebrating the grand opening of the Bulgari IconSiam store last week, the Italian luxury brand invited a host of celebrities and friends – such as Vatanika Patamasingha Na Ayudhya, Sonya Singha, Mew-Nittha Jirayungyurn, Matcha Mosimann, and Rinrata Indamra, no less – to an exclusive launch party, for a fabulous evening of admiring the new collection, and sipping Mediterranean aperitifs between swoons.
The new boutique sees a true Italian celebration of the city of Rome, drawing inspiration from its marble and ancient buildings and paying homage to Bulgari’s first home in the Italian capital’s Via dei Condotti in 1905. A timeless yet contemporary vision of the Eternal City, the store’s concept follows an undeniably Roman theme, much mirrored with an open-air promenade or Italian piazza.
Beyond interiors, guests were invited to admire the enchanting new diamond Fiorever collection; a whimsical marriage between the Italian word for flower ‘fiore’, and the English word ‘forever’. The flower is a classic jewellery motif, and is one that goes long back into Rome’s heritage, too. Think, the garden frescos of Villa di Livia, the sculptures of Palazzo Massimo, or the ceiling mosaics of the Santa Constanza Mausoleum. Bringing the passionate emblem to glimmering new life in a free-spirited diamond collection, the 24-piece line is a reflection of natural beauty using only the highest quality diamonds.
If the Fiorever collection is a dream bouquet, the new Bulgari IconSiam store is its Roman garden on the banks of the Chao Phraya. Scroll ahead for an exclusive sneak peek into the celebrations.
