Siam Piwat, the mastermind behind OneSiam and ICONSIAM, invites you over to count down to the new year with a good cause through its latest project entitled “Citizen of Love by Siam Piwat.” The charity work supports children in need at Border Patrol Police Schools across Thailand, with 26,500 backpack cares (a care package in a form of a backpack), featuring schooling essentials.

For 60 years, Siam Piwat has been propelling the society towards long-term sustainability and Thai-for-Thai endearment to benefit the people, society, and the environment.

“With the commitment to our vision that we have held for over 60 years since the infancy of our company, Siam Piwat has collaborated with public, private, and community to establish various forms of retailing in order to support Thai talents around the country from SMEs in the countryside to Thai talented designers, the youth, those with disabilities, special needs children, and underprivileged people. We give them access to Siam Piwat’s spaces where they can proudly promote their products and services as well as encourage them to learn comprehensive business expertise,” said Mrs.Chadatip Chutrakul, Chief Executive Officer of Siam Piwat Group.

As a lifestyle pillar, Siam Piwat has long been providing opportunities for individuals, underprivileged, and disabled persons as evidenced in, for example, designer contests to encourage new fresh faces in the fashion industry; SookSiam, a shopping centre showcasing local foodstuffs and handcrafts run by small business owners from across the 77 provinces of Thailand; and dedicated facilities and advanced technology systems to aid disabled people installed throughout all their shopping malls.

With an aim to bring about abundance to the neighbourhood in which their business runs upon, Siam Piwat constantly shakes up opportunities to contribute or be a part of small businesses, as well as enhancing the quality of the environment in the area, as manifested through “Preserving and Improving Chao Phraya River with a Sustainable Water Management” Project; Green Fund with budget to encourage environmentally friendly projects and activities; and Ecotopia for green and non-polluting products.

So for those who are looking to benefit and support the charity program within our Thai community, do so by showing your love and care through the Citizen of Love project. From today until 5 January 2020, come by the donating points, which are dotted around all four shopping malls, spanning M Floor, Siam Center (connecting to Parc Paragon), 3rd Floor Siam Paragon (in front of The The Cloud: Sansiri x The Coffee Club), 1st Floor, Siam Discovery (skybridge), M Floor, ICONSIAM (in front of L’Occitane) to partake in the endowment of 26,500 backpacks.

Give what you can, as all proceeds will go towards fighting for the better lives of children who are in need of school essentials. You can also donate THB 200 to contribute entirely to one backpack care. Shoppers with a THB 500 receipt can also participate in the Citizen of Love project by turning everyday receipts into a benevolent donation. ‘Tis the season.
