Dragonfly360 teams up with Thai stars to promote gender equality

The dragonfly has long been a symbol of change, adaptability and self-reliance. And Dragonfly360 — a regional platform that aims to encourage gender quality in Asia — hopes to inspire and empower women with these very qualities.

With the objective of highlighting the many obstacles that women continually face in society, the organisation will be hosting its very first Dragonfly Summit at Centara Grand at Central World on 2 November 2019.

In recognition of the immense significance of this cause, a large number of successful business people, influencers, motivational speakers, celebrities and activists from across the world will be attending the event. These include Maggie Q, Jameela Jamil, Marina Mahathir, Abhisit Vejjajiva, Sunitha Krishnan, Lina Khalifeh, Cindy Bishop, Woody Milintachinda, Chitpas Kridakorn, Robert Candeloni, Praya Lundberg, Vatanika Patamasingh, and Pearypie Chittasenee to name a few.

“Each generation must break new ground to ease the journey for those who follow.  Good role models for every generation do just that.  The more people stand up and understand the urgency for gender equality, the faster we advance forward as a society,” said Pranapda Phornprapha, founder of Dragonfly 360.

There’s certainly strength in numbers, and strength is what the summit aspires to provide women, along with a strong sense of community spirit, through its many planned programmes: workshops, storytelling chats, talks, interviews, art installations, and gourmet food encounters. And realising the importance of corporate support when it comes to seeking equality for women in the business world, Dragonfly360 has actively sought out like-minded, progressive professional entities to take their cause forward.

“Mobilising gender equality happens faster when the private sector makes it a priority. Our movement would not be possible without the support of our partners Plan B, Tencent, Central Group, Kasikorn Bank, Bangkok Bank, Indorama, IVL Foundation, Yamaha, Cape Kantary, Siam Paragon, Daikin, Accor, Komatsu, GS Battery, Wisesight and VGI,” said Phornprapha.

With such an extensive and diverse line-up of people and organisations ready to offer critical networking opportunities, share personal stories, and fresh insights and offer invaluable advice, the Dragonfly Summit is certain to pave the way for meaningful, transformative change — just as the dragonfly does.

Tickets for the Dragonfly Summit are now available at www.dragonfly360.co. Early bird tickets are priced at THB6,500; Corporate value tickets (10+) are priced at THB 6,000; and VIP tickets (with exclusive dinner and after party access) are priced at THB15,000.
