As we jingle into the merry season, the city is sparkling up with extravagant Christmas trees for us to revel in the festivity in full swing. But can you imagine a Thai-inspired Christmas tree that radiates Thai traditional motifs? Now, we’ve never seen that one before.
Known for its grand festivals ICONSIAM’s Bangkok Illumination 2019 is here to astound us yet again with its magical touch.
ICONSIAM is brightening up the city with this majestic celebration, which will see a grand vivid lighting installation taking over the Thai-style Christmas trees by the riverfront at ICONSIAM. As you gaze over the trees, you will see the reflection of glorious architectures from the Temple of the Dawn and Wat Arun from the Thonburi era.
The River Park will be lit up with a 22-meter tall Christmas tree decked with Thai patterns reflecting the theme “Glory of ICONSIAM”. Our advice? Go there to watch the illuminated Christmas trees and stay to snap some pictures for your ‘gram, because this place is sure to be the most lit backdrop during this festive season. Experience a contemporary Thainess by the modern and traditional art scene under the installation, and expect to see opulent gold, silver, and pink gold lighting up the riverside.
The best part? The Bangkok Illumination Show is placed right by the ICONIC Multimedia Water Feature so you won’t miss out on the must-see grand showcase at ICONSIAM. Nothing beats the experience of standing under the 400 meters light-and-sound multimedia water extravaganza that beautifully reflects all the colours of the rainbow. Bangkokians can surely be proud to have the highest multimedia in Southeast Asia here at ICONSIAM. Prepare to be starstruck.
To celebrate the new landmark on the River of Kings, ICONSIAM partnered up with Kasikorn Bangkok this time to host the most exclusive illuminated Thai-style Christmas showcase. Not to mention, this will probably be the longest celebration we’ve seen in Bangkok. Whilst the ICONIC Multimedia Water Feature is held every day of the year at 4:30 pm, 6:30 pm, 8 pm, and 9:30 pm at River Park, the Thai-inspired Christmas tree together with the astonishing multimedia water show will only be on display until 5 January 2020. Be sure not to miss out.
