Watch collectors and A-listers alike gathered for a special grand opening on the banks of the Chao Phraya last month to celebrate the unveiling of the Patek Philippe ICONSIAM boutique. Thierry Stern, president of the Swiss luxury watch brand, flew in especially from Geneva to cut the ribbon and inaugurate the flagship, marking the first ever Patek Philippe store to be based in Thailand. To welcome its arrival, a host of celebrity watch enthusiasts — including Varavut Laohapongchana, Pimdao Panichsamai, Chalairath Mongkol Puncharath, Kleddao Panichsamai, and ML Auradis Snidvongs, amongst others — attended the event to celebrate and discover the boutique in all its 223sqm glory.
The new exclusive venue brings together the brand’s rich heritage, philosophy, and values, over a large and elegant space in which customers can admire, purchase, and explore the over 180-year horological history of the brand. Behind an impressive 50-metre facade, the boutique consists of a watch gallery atrium and exhibition area, a private lounge with a Patek Philippe library, and an intimate sales salon. The house-own Patek Philippe scent, ‘Grand Quai’, envelopes the store with its distinctive seaside-inspired aura; a signature fragrance for Patek Philippe boutiques worldwide, and a warm welcome to its presence in Thailand.
Scroll ahead for an exclusive sneak peek into the grand opening celebrations, and take a first stroll into the inaugural Patek Philippe flagship right on the river in Bangkok.
