Just last month, Lifestyle Asia Singapore celebrated the official launch of The Standard brand’s first island escape in Asia with the unveil of The Standard Huruvalhi Maldives. As James Mabey, Managing Director of Asia and Middle East and Chief International Business Officer at The Standard, described, “We are thrilled to be in the Maldives. It is not just for honeymooners anymore. With amazing reefs and waves, it’s a perfect place for the Standard family.”
Amongst a tropical spread of Maldivian flavours and flair at Singapore’s ever-trendy Siri House, the event saw a mingling of cocktails, canapés, and both local and Thai cool cats in attendance.
Renowned creative visionary Rostarr headlined the event with a live art performance in collaboration with Mojoko for entertainment. The Brooklyn-based artist is part of The Standard’s original family of curated artists and will also be creating new art for The Standard Huruvalhi Maldives later this year. Beyond these feats, guests were treated to a body art station provided by Lovage, and brought home customised tote bags as sweet gifts. The highlight of the night? A lucky draw for a three-night stay at The Standard Huruvalhi Maldives.
