Gone are the days when loudspeakers are bulky and unattractive blocks placed on the floor and hid behind the furniture. With tech companies rethinking speakers as pieces of decorative furniture and rolling out intricately-designed audio systems that look just as good as they sound, we’re living in a marvelous time to be an audiophile.
Having constructed authentic sound for decades, high-end Danish audio manufacturer Vifa understands what today’s luxury consumers are looking for — that is, quality loudspeakers that can produce exceptional sound, and are stylish enough to double up as sleek accents for the home. As with any music gadgets or furniture pieces, the best way to decide whether they fit into your personal style is to experience them firsthand. Luckily for us, Vifa’s portable and home wireless loudspeaker collections have just arrived Thailand, and the distinctive Nordic design is unlike anything you’ve seen before. Named after Scandinavian capitals according to the size of the models, including Reykjavik, Helsinki, Oslo, Copenhagen and Stockholm, Vifa’s luxurious product range will amplify your music experience to a whole new level.
Design aficionados will especially appreciate the custom-designed textile covers designed by Europe’s leading manufacturer of design textiles, Kvadrat, which come with six selected colours, each with their own character to suit different tastes: Sunset Red, Sand Yellow, Ocean Blue, Ice Blue, Anthracite Grey, and Pebble Grey. A breakthrough in weaving techniques, the woollen threads on each Vifa loudspeaker are resistant to water and pilling, complete with vegetable tanned leather carry-strap from distinguished Swedish tannery, Tärnsjö Garveri.
The Vifa launch party took place at the Danish Ambassador’s Residence in Bangkok, where VIP guests — including Polpat Asavaprapha, Pattree Bhakdibutr, Munchumart Numbenjapol — were invited to preview and learn more about the state-of-the-art sound systems, and toast to the Danish brand’s debut in Thailand.
Vifa is now available in five exclusive locations: Central Chidlom, Siam Discovery, Munkong Gadgets in Siam Paragon, Hi-Fi Lover and Iconic Studio. In the meantime, click ahead to see some of the photos from the star-studded event.
