2020: the year is almost over.
December has arrived and though we have been through some change and chaos, the city is rapidly picking up where it left off, greeting the last month of 2020 with great enthusiasm and joy.
This first half of the month is brimming with a repertoire of cool happenings, watched over closely by the health restrictions to assure our well-being and safety. From an extravagant modern European dinner to a cocktail-fuelled night and a French Christmas market, there’s something to stir a little emotion in everyone. For cocktail connoisseurs who particularly fancy classic cocktails, Ms.Jigger within the Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok will be serving narrative-inspired, spirit-focused drinks to welcome December in tribute to the Old Fashioned cocktail.

The Michelin-starred Bo.lan with its zero-waste concept is dedicating a space in their star-studded culinary to Bo.lan Grocer, a mini grocery store for a mindful and sustainable lifestyle. Their monthly market, featuring food and artisan products vendors – think YORA, Pla Organic, Sloane’s and more – should be your move to learn more about what our local community has to offer.
For a four-hand dining pop-up to check out this month, dinner by the two-Michelin-starred Chef Dunand of Le Normandie and Chef Martena of CLARA should be your move. Highlighting modern European flavours, the tasting menu (THB 4,080++ or 5,980++ per person, inclusive of wine pairing) will be brimming with the two talented chefs’ signature dishes.
Craft lovers, ICONCRAFT is proudly collaborating with Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles to present their first pop-up store at the Co-Creation Space, Level 3, Siam Discovery. From stylishly crafted bags and fashionable old-school accessories, to delicate jewellery pieces, this special showcase by ICONCRAFT allows us to zoom in on some of the exceptional handcrafted items, like never before. For two nights only, Chef Deepanker “DK” Khosla of Haoma is inviting food lovers to the Banyan Tree Phuket to bask in the scrumptious glory of his Indian cuisine degustation menu (THB 2,250 net for food only; THB 2,850 net for wine pairing).
