We’re only a few days into the new year, but if you’re looking for a reason to start planning your 2019 travels, we’ve got some good news: The full lineup for Coachella 2019 has just been unveiled, so start booking your tickets and preparing your festival fashions now. Taking place across two weekends in April (12–14 and 19–21), the three-day event is one of the world’s biggest annual music festivals and was rumoured to be headlined this year by Kanye West, Justin Timberlake and Childish Gambino. Two out of three were wrong: Kanye and JT won’t be performing this year; Coachella 2019’s headliners are Childish Gambino, Tame Impala and Ariana Grande. (According to TMZ, Kanye was slated to perform but dropped out after a conflict over stage design.)
This year’s festival will also include performances by Janelle Monáe, The 1975, Diplo, Solange, Kid Cudi, Weezer, Aphex Twin, Bassnectar, Four Tet, Clockenflap 2018 headliner Khalid, Blood Orange, Jaden Smith, Christine and the Queens, CHVRCHES, Zedd, Anderson .Paak, K-pop act BLACKPINK and many others. Check out the full lineup below.

Eagle-eyed readers will have spotted the name Virgil Abloh under the list of artists performing on Saturday. That’s no mistake: The Louis Vuitton and Off-White designer will be performing a DJ set, as will actor Idris Elba, who moonlights as a house DJ.
Founded in 1999, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has grown into one of the world’s biggest music festivals. Some love it, some hate it and love to make fun of the flower crown-wearing festival-goers, but either way it’s a big deal in the world of music every year. It takes place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, and passes are available at coachella.com.
