Bangkok is an exciting city filled with all kinds of eateries and culinary institutions, and the town’s food scene only keeps flourishing.

Undoubtedly, the city has turned into a true hotspot for food lovers, inviting both newbies and insiders to explore and taste the ever-changing offerings. This perhaps explains why restaurants keep bringing a number of visiting guest chefs and temporary pop-ups to make sure city-dwellers are fuelled joyously with new eats and drinks each month.

So if you are currently circling around town looking for an exclusive excuse to wine and dine this January, here are five dining pop-ups you should look out for.

Petrossian Caviar & Grower Champagne Dinner

When: 16 January
Price: THB 10,000++ per person, including 4 glasses of Grower Champagne

Stage is a restaurant inspired by French cooking techniques, local ingredients, and global cuisines, so expect everything to be above your typical — including this dining pop-up. Collaborating with Petrossian ParisMR. THEODORÉ & Fizzboyz the restaurant brings you a caviar and champagne-fuelled dinner where you can feast on the edible pearls of the sea and bubbly to your heart’s content. Expect to see spectacular dishes like Hand-Dived Scallop on Shell, Brittany Lobster, Foam Blanche & Homemade Saffron Chitarra, Brown Crab and more along with 4 glasses of champagne to elevate the whole dining experience.

Saptha by Giri Pop Up at Smalls

When: 16 January

It’s not a complete Smalls night without a bite of comfort food. Apart from being famed for their an award-winning selection of drinks, the Suan Plu neighbourhood bar is also notorious for their food pop-up featuring with Bangkok’s top-notch eateries. This time around, Saptha by Giri presents Indian plant-based food, showcasing drool-inducing dishes like Cool As A Cucumber, Tangy Tomato Cuts, Crispy Cauli Bites, Dal On Rice and so much more – with all priced at THB 200 only. Let’s start the year healthy-ish with great drinks and vegetarian food.

White Truffle by Chef Luca Fassone

When: 16-17 January
Price: 7,000++ THB per person

Following the success of their last pop-up with the veggie wizard Alain Passard, Mahanakhon Bangkok SkyBar is back to bless your taste buds with a white truffle-focused dinner with guest Chef Luca Fassone of Angolo di Rosina in Novello, Italy. The stellar menu features hand-cut Piedmontese Beef Tartare with Truffle, Egg-stuffed Ravioli, Veal Sirloin Steak with Truffle Sauce, and much more. Craving for a burst of truffle scent and taste before white truffle season ends? This pop-up is for you.

Manohra Chef’s Table

When: 18 Jan
Price: THB 3,200 net per person

For two days only, La Tavola & Wine Bar at the Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong Hotel will be taken over by Michelin-starred Chef Andrea Cannalire from Cielo, Italy to cook up a lunch and dinner extravaganza with a focus on Italy’s hyper-seasonal ingredients. The menu also includes options of opulent wines to cater to all diners with a strong taste for the spirited life.
