If we could find a metaphor for transferable ecstasy, we think of food trucks.

They are a movable feast; rolling around on those four wheels handing out edible happiness to folks around town. And although we don’t have many in Bangkok, most of them do not disappoint. However, with the pandemic situation going on, the first couple of weeks of the lockdown inevitably shook up the entire hospitality industry, affecting restaurants, bars and even food trucks.

As things are slowly getting back on track, foodies can now rejoice to see their go-to food trucks coming back to dole your delicious usuals. For those not in the know already for the best gourmet food trucks around town, our list is here to help you to easily drop a pin on Google Maps for your next food itinerary. Let’s hop to it.

Burg Republic

When it comes to the meat-on-bun wonder, Burg Republic totally nails it. The American burger goes halal here at Burg Republic. The burger truck delivers deliciousness that caters to the carnivore’s palate, including those who are restricted to following the Islamic tradition but still immensely enjoy a quality cut of meat. Try the Ultimate Beef Burger where double-stacked, dry-aged beef patties are showered in cheesy rain before getting squished between fat-glazed bacon and sesame-speckled buns.

Available at Ramkhamhaeng 24 Yaek 20, Bangkok and through Line Man, Grab and food panda.

AwesomeSauce Truck

For a full cheese effect, AwesomeSauce Truck never disappoints. The food truck is fuelled with a selection of scrumptious grilled cheese, mac & cheese, and even double-stack burgers. Our go-to is the Fat & Furious (THB 150), a grilled cheese stuffed with fork-tender pulled pork, three types of cheddar cheeses, mozzarella, and a fiery smear of spicy mango sauce.

Available daily at W District and Habito Mall, 10:30 am- 8 pm and also available for delivery via Line Man, food panda and Get.

Annette Ice Cream On Wheels

It’s May and the sun is merciless. Freshen things up with Annette’s array of popsicles of all shapes and flavours. The bear claw-shaped Milk & Cream is our favourite in all its milky deliciousness, and the Tiramisu always pairs well with our afternoon pick-me-up.

Order via Line and available for delivery via Wongnai-Lineman.

Alice’s Pizza

Pizza is not new but Alice’s Pizza made it novel and approachable. If you’re burgered-out, then pizza should be your next move. The Tomyumkung Pizza is to-die-for and the Salmon Cheese Pizza is really for the time when you need to feel fit and wholesome. They also have a range of salads, and the Caesar with fried egg bejewelled atop the pile of cheese-studded lettuce is a true killer.

Order via Grab, Line Man, food panda, Get.

VIVIN Grocery Food Truck

Organic and wholesome food on the go is now available with VIVIN Grocery Food Truck. Featuring everything from free-range eggs and certified organic vegetables to jams, chutneys, sourdough bread, and pastries, VIVIN has everything on offer right to your neighbourhood.

See where the truck will be weekly on their Facebook and Instagram.

Manhattan Mango

The mango-focused food truck Manhattan Mango is all about using Thailand’s most prestigious produce. They dole out a wide selection of savoury dishes, desserts, smoothies, nutrient-rich beverages, and even small bites.

Order via Line and stay tune for their daily location on Facebook.

Daniel Thaiger

Although the Daniel Thaiger truck is not up and running now, you can get your Mr Steve Beef Burger (THB 320) or the Cowboy Burger (THB 320) delivered right to your home from their venues within Soi Sukhumvit 11 and theCOMMONS Thonglor. The red-painted food truck pioneered the authentic burger trend in the city. Daniel Thaiger stands in contrast with other places with its classic-but-serious take on the American delight. Diners can expect quality, cooked-to-perfection patties, and melted cheddar cheese sandwiched perfectly between the fluffy brioche buns.

Delivery via food panda, Line Man, Get and Grab Food.
