With many establishments around town insisting on feeding the city with their scrumptious fare, Bangkok dwellers are always in luck and always get their cravings met.

Especially with the lockdown being eased and restaurants and cafes back to opening and serving kitchen-to-table meals, city dwellers are now back to the usual ritual of dining out. From shabu to chewy cookies to sushi and international buffets, we’ve been giving new food establishments a shot, for both dine-in and delivery, and here is our list of food deliveries and restaurants we are currently obsessed with and can’t get enough of this week.

Goji Kitchen + Bar and Roti Babaa – Kankanit Wichiantanon, Dining & Interiors Writer

I’m a diehard buffet buff and as soon as I found out that my favourite buffet haunt, Goji Kitchen + Bar has finally reopened, of course, I got overly yet reasonably excited. The international buffet boasts a vibe of a wonderland but just studded with all types of food from various cuisines my palate could ever imagine craving for. The cheese and cold cut section here really is the main reason why I adore this place so much thanks to the extensive selection that really makes my inner cheese geek go to town.

For a flawless, irresistible dessert, roti always tops my list. Because really, what’s not to love about flakey, fried pastry showered with a rain of sugar and condensed milk? My go-to spot for it is Roti Babaa thanks to their ultra-crunchy version of roti. Each bite comes with three different textures: crunchy, chewy, and gooey. The roti here comes with different toppings to choose from, but surely nothing beats foi thong, which is the sweet Thai golden thread made from egg yolks.

Papa Shabu Farm and Soft Bites– Lisa Gries, Managing Editor

For a breezy, no-fuss meal, shabu seems to always be a perfect choice. And although our managing editor likes to stick in her Sathorn neighbourhood, Papa Shabu Farm at Habito Mall is one of a few places that will get her out of the area. The outlet excels at scrumptious soups, with flavours spanning miso, sukiyaki, red hot, and even mala soup, which diners can pick to go with the classic shabu items like premium kurobuta pork set, sesame oil-marinated pork, fish balls with salted eggs, shrimp dumplings, and more.

As for dessert, Lisa always likes to have soft, chewy-centred cookies on hand to cap off the meal or cheer her up after a long day. Soft Bites by The Artwins are her current obsession. And apart from the White Choc Macadamia Cranberry and 70% Dark Chocolate Cookie she usually opts for, the Brookies, which is a cross between brownie and cookie dough, is also a must-have when she can’t decide whether it’s the cake or cookie she actually needs.

Yuzu Sushi – Alisha Pawa, Culture Writer

Having lived in Japan for quite some time, it’s no question that Japanese food has become one of the main food groups for our culture writer, Alisha. Amongst many, one of her favourite haunts is Yuzu Sushi. The restaurant offers pristine items like uni, caviar, abalone, and, of course, yuzu products —which is featured in all their dishes for extra toothsome aroma and flavour.
