With restaurants temporarily — or partially — closed down, we can’t deny Covid-19 is really a killjoy for us foodies.
Yet with restaurants being as wonderfully creative minds as they are in Bangkok, city dwellers continue to be fuelled with great food through delivery services even as we are sheltering in. These culinary institutes make dining in feel like dining out and continue to delight our everyday life during the pandemic. This week, we’ve curated five fine dining venues that are doling out fine fare to your doorstep. If you’re not ready to dine out just yet, let’s take your at-home meals up a notch and turn your dining room into a white-tablecloth restaurant for a day.

JHOL is all about umami-rich fare with flair. The restaurant serves up scrumptious Southern coastal Indian staples touched with haute-cuisine elegance. Even with their delivery menu, expect nothing short of excellence. Opt for their combo meal featuring one starter, one main, one dessert, and one drink of your choice. Our tip? we highly recommend Masala Muska Bun for starter and Malvani Chicken for main. Their Whole Spring Chicken Combo which comes with Kerala-style roasted spring chicken, gunpowder chips, salad, and kombucha is also a great set perfect for sharing. A la carte delivery menu is also available if you’re not into a set meal.

Looking for sophistication? Look for Stage. The French and global-inspired restaurant always wows us with their new innovative tasting menus and now they will continue to surprise with real-deal scrumptiousness via their delivery menu focused on ramen. No, it’s not your ordinary Japanese noodle bowl, though. Their version comes with fine-dining twists — think, Roasted Beef Truffle Ramen and Lobster Ramen. The menu also features their all-time signatures like the Truffle Hot Dog, Lobster Roll, and their buttery, ultra-flakey Butter Croissant.
