Thailand’s best restaurant collaborates with Kyo Roll En for unique fusion mooncakes

Just because Sorn was named the best restaurant in Thailand by the World’s 50 Best Restaurants, doesn’t mean that they don’t know a Bangkok beloved dessert chain when they see one. Case in point: Sorn’s latest collab with Kyo Roll En for mooncakes.

Listed as No.2 on the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list, and No. 39 on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list, Sorn’s beloved chef Ice Supaksorn Jongsiri is now teaming up with Chef Dej Kewacha of Kyo Roll En. Combining Sorn’s southern Thai background with Kyo Roll En’s Japanese influence, the two have released four mooncakes for the Mid-Autumn Festival in Thailand.

Flavours include Grilled Durian Custard, Mont Blanc Walnut, Yuzu Lava, and Satsuma Imo (Kyushu sweet potato), and the box is priced at THB 1599, limited to 100 boxes per day. It’s a rare occasion in which to try some very unique flavours, by two very beloved (yet wildly different) foodie favourites. It isn’t everyday that Thailand’s best restaurant teams up with every Bangkokian’s favourite casual dessert store after all.
