ICONCRAFT: an inspirational platform for modern Thai craft heroes across Thailand

You can’t buy true joy, but you can buy local.

Known as the city’s haven for locally-made products and handicrafts, as well as world-class brands, the icon of eternal prosperity ICONSIAM is a lifestyle wizard, with the goal to boost innovative living standards and at the same time, strengthen the Thai-style way of living.

Anchored by a community of Thai local artists and designers, ICONSIAM in its vast luxury entirety — 10 floors to be precise — holds a plethora of artisanal and indigenous products in every nook and corner. However, if mentioning locally-made products, then ICONCRAFT perched on the 4th and 5th floors is an Eden of suchlike goodies. There are approximately 40,000 local products sourced thoughtfully from 500 different premium brands dotted all around 77 provinces of Thailand.

To welcome the mall’s reopening, the 4th floor space has been transformed into an ICONCRAFT GLOBE, a world set to celebrate “Thai Craftsman Stories (Craft Hero)” told by 16 leading Thai designers. The artists have been recognised for their cutting-edge brands, including HOME Studio SHOP, Mo Jirachai, Siam Drip Co, Stories of Silver and Silk, and more.

Together with KasikornBank, the venue holds dear to the concept of ICONCRAFT Crafts & Creativity Celebration where the space is served as “the creative inspiration platform for Thai craftsmen, to love, enjoy and be proud of modern Thainess,” said Usara Yongpiyakul, CEO of Siam Piwat Retail Holdings Co., Ltd.

ICONCRAFT is the first arena in the heart of Bangkok which combines the creative power of traditional craft masters with a new generation of craftsmen to support and develop craftsmanship to amaze the world. Added is an ICONCRAFT GLOBE inviting you to step in to stare into a snow glass globe and absorb every tale these masterful craftsmen have to tell and inspire.

So for aspiring designers or big Thai-for-Thai devotees, you can now visit ICONCRAFT and appreciate arts and handmade merchandise. Be sure to dip into the ICONCRAFT GLOBE to dig deeper into the art of Thai-made artistry.
