The Woodleigh Residences launched on Saturday, 11 May, inviting guests to its showroom next to NEX Mall. The launch was a success, seeing potential home buyers from all across the island indicating their interest in the highly-anticipated development. After all, its unique selling point is that it is the first development in Singapore combining the best of Japan with Singapore’s innovation and quality. A total of 77 units were sold to date following its launch last weekend, according to co-developers Japan-based Kajima Development and Singapore Press Holdings (SPH).
Many units sold were two- and three-bedroom units, and three four-bedroom apartments at $2,331 psf. The main demographic was local buyers hailing from various parts of Singapore, most in their early 30s to early 40s. These range from young families, to investors, and even retirees. Units at The Woodleigh Residences range from 570 sq ft two-bedroom units to 1,475 sq ft four-bedroom units. The trend sees the two-bedroom apartments being purchased by young couples and smaller families, while the larger units seeing more interest from multi-generational families.

The Bidadari Estate Master Plan, dubbed as the new Bishan, is one of only three areas targeted for residential development under the Land Use plan released by The Ministry of National Development. The Land Use plan aims to build up to 700,000 new homes for a projected population of 6.9 million in 2030.
Slated to complete in August 2022, The Woodleigh Residences is an integrated development that will elevate the standard of living in the Bidadari Estate. The residences will be linked directly to the Woodleigh mall and MRT station. Once completed, the residences will overlook the scenic Alkaff Lake and Park, perfect for those looking to live in lush surroundings.
