Tree of Wealth
Once you purchase at least THB 500 from any of the stores at OneSiam, you will receive a special card to write down your wishes. Afterward, go ahead and stick the card on the Tree of Wealth for good fortune. You never know, you might be one of the first 500 lucky shoppers of the day who will get the chance to spin the wheel of fortune, too. This is as close as it gets to experiencing the true Chinese tradition as the pinwheels have been blessed during a ceremony at Hong Kong ’s famous Che Kung Temple.
Renowned calligraphy artist Sorravis Prakong will be at the Prosperous zone at Siam Center to help you curate your letters. All the activities associated with the art of lucky letters will be held between 22-26 January at Siam Center.
Welcoming “Siam Discovery Chinese Street Food 2020”, here we are at The Exploratorium, ready to indulge in a selection of dishes from over 16 famous food stores that are all meant to bring good luck this year.
Feast your eyes on the roasted duck from Na Thong Suthisan, steamed potstickers from Kinza Gyoza, Hong Kong noodles from At Baan Si-Chana, Chinese Bing breads from Eua Leng Heng of Bangkok Chinatown, Yaowarat Fishballs, Por 4 Pork Legs, Siamese Icecream, bua loy, khanom thien, Zongzi, mango juice and coconut juice, and more to count.
These auspicious delicacies have been selectively picked as it’s believed to enhance the well-being, happiness, wealth, and prosperity of mankind. To keep you entertained in this ancient Shanghai type of ambiance, there will be activities held from 19-29 January at the Discovery Plaza, Siam Discovery.
Gift your loved ones something sweet
Of course, there are always perks of going on a shopping spree during the festive seasons. Every time you spend THB 800, you will receive a OneSiam Shopping bag, and every time you spend THB 2000, you will get the opportunity to win any of the OneSiam food voucher giveaways (valued at up to THB 300,000). And that’s not it: if you spend THB 1500, then you win a gift voucher or discount coupon (valued at THB 1000). Remember, if you are a member of VIZ Card, Platinum M card, or have a Kasikorn credit card, then you’re in luck for some more benefits.
On 25 January, there will be a “Lucky Day, Lucky Deal” campaign that will give all the shoppers with a purchase of THB 8000 and over a Siam Gift Card valued at THB 800 (200 cards for each mall). Make sure you spot your lucky red envelopes because, without your Hongbao, the custom for Chinese New Year would be rather incomplete.
