Well, well, well Bangkok; we’ve really been kicking off the new year with some bright and fresh looks haven’t we? Whether they were seen at the glammest social events or just chilling by an ATM, we’ve snapped up the finest outfits worn around town this month. Our favourites have been the ones that face the new year with boldness, excitement, and just a touch of indulgence. It looks like Bangkok’s off to a very fashionable start to 2019, and we couldn’t be prouder.

Want to be on our next list? Make sure to post your most stylish looks to Instagram or Facebook and tag #LSABestDressed and @lifestyleasiabk. We’re looking out for you!

      HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana

It’s during the month of January that we probably feel most proud to have Thai royalty be fashion royalty too. Throughout her birthday month, we’ve been graced with a series of perfectly put together outfits along with vibrant colours and bold accessories that only her royal highness could wear so charismatically. An established international style icon, our princess could take best dressed every month of the year.

      Somporn “Kai” Tirin

Kooky and lovable, the celebrity hair stylist has appeared with some fabulous outfits that appropriately reflect his character. It’s always exciting to see what he’s wearing each day because you just never know what you’re going to get. He could be celebrating traditional Thai costume with a bit of Bangkok mischief for one day, and the next day he’ll just be living the dream by spending the day in the comfiest pyjama suit. And that’s exactly what he did this month.

      Chava “Ploy” Laohapongchana

The social media influencer hasn’t racked up over 800k followers on Instagram for nothing. We love her colourful, kitsch, and vintage-with-a-twist style, and it doesn’t hurt that she has the ability to pull off anything from floaty dresses to skin-tight lycra biking shorts. In true Bangkok fashion, here she is hanging out in millennial pink next to a 7-Eleven.

      Kullawit “Ford” Laosuksri

To be one of the best dressed, is it cheating if you’re the actual editor of Vogue Thailand? Maybe we’re not being fair, but we couldn’t leave Mr Kullawit out after he attended the Disaya SS19 launch at Nai Lert in this bold, silky ensemble. And let’s appreciate his favourite personalised pouch too, which reappeared at the Prada opening party in ICONSIAM to complete yet another perfect silken get-up. Extravagant yet classy – it’s difficult to get right, but very highly rewarding. Mr Vogue shows us how.

      Sunny Suwanmethanont

Bangkok’s had a hotter January than usual this year and it’s probably because it’s been such a Sunny month. But terrible puns aside, it would be hard to ignore that suave looking man who appears to be rubbing Mr Kullawit’s belly. We love his bold leather and knit combo from Prada, and this textured green jacket from Virgil Abloh’s Louis Vuitton collection that launched in Bangkok last week. Maybe it feels warm because he’s wearing so many (great) jackets, but there’s no denying that Thailand’s heartthrob has been turning up the heat with his sartorial appearances.

      Gunnigar Virojanavat

Also spotted at the high-profile Prada opening party was this cool, elegant, power-stating look on Gunnigar Virojanavat. The draping sheer cape is a genius silhouette shaper and that statement necklace pins it perfectly down with glamourous weight. We also love the flash of red and the modern print on the peep-toe platform heels to give the whole outfit a spritely edge. Sophisticated never has to mean boring.
