From Rihanna to Cara Delevingne, Puma has long been known to collaborate with fierce females. The latest addition to the roster is Dua Lipa, the Versace-clad popstar who soundtracked 2020 with plenty of party anthems that we wished we could dance to.
The Don’t Start Now singer is now the face of a Puma campaign — the first of many to come, thanks to their new partnership. Shot backstage by Mario Sorrenti, the images showcase Dua Lipa’s distinctive style that put her on countless of our best-dressed lists. In one, she pairs a Puma T7 track jacket with a bikini top and fishnets, while in another she sports a vintage Puma windbreaker with a pair of zebra tights.
But the real stars of her outfits are her shoes: the new Puma Mayze sneakers, designed for women who share Dua Lipa’s fearless attitude when it comes to dressing up. The sneakers combine details from the sportswear brand’s archival styles, as well as the leather construction of Puma classics such as the Hi OCTN trainers and the RS-X shoes.
The result are a pair of everyday sneakers that are sure to stand out anywhere you go. The Mayze kicks boast a stack midsole with a split derby construction (that’ll give shorter sneakerheads a boost) as well as sleek Puma branding in foil. The sneakers come in two stylish colourways: Puma White-Lotus, which features leather uppers with suede overlays, and Puma White-Puma Black, which comes with full suede uppers.
“The Mayze is the perfect fit, it works for me on stage and off. The classic stacked sole is so versatile, I can work it into any look,” shared Lipa.
We’ve already seen the singer pull off Puma kicks during her Studio 2054 livestream concert last year, which earned a record-breaking 5 million viewers. During her performances, she sported the label’s iconic Suede shoes as well as the vibrant RS-2k trainers.
All of which, including the new Mayze sneakers, are available to shop online now.
