Following the success of Roberto Cavalli Tribute Fashion Gala in August and the Paris Bonsoir Retrospective Tribute to Christian Dior in October, the Los Angeles-originated KOI Restaurant & Lounge Bangkok recently hosted another fashion gala this month in celebration of 6 years of Kwankao fashion imprint.
Taking place on December 15 at the restaurant perched on the 39th floor of Sathorn Square Building, the fashion gala was set under the “Winter Wonderland” theme. As a result, the restaurant was full-on decorated with snowflakes and trees of silver and blue, imbuing the whole venue with a sense of Christmas and winter cheer in the midst of our tropical city.
An extensive guest list of VIPs, socialites, celebrities and savvy fashionistas — such as Ice Preechaya, Kwan Usamanee, Diana Chungjintanakarn and May Sirin Korkiat — were also invited to enjoy KOI’s marvellous Japanese-Californian inspired meal like Fried Scallop Cake, Australian Tenderloin Tataki, Grilled Lamb Rack, and Chef Omakase Sushi Plate, all against the backdrop of a vivid view of the Sathorn skyline and sumptuous drinks.
Following the meal was a high-octane music performance by a special guest DJ from the UK, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs at the Club@Koi, along with an extravagant dance performance from Ida Nowakowska – the far-famed Polish ballerina who’s also a prestigious judge and a choreographer of Poland’s So You Think You Can Dance. Featuring over 25 evening wears, the fashion gala happening afterwards showcased Kwankao’s exclusive collection of evening gowns in the most festive setting.
