An immensely thrilling product just popped up on the horizon of the fashion world. We’re talking about the exciting new feature just launched by Gucci on its app, in collaboration with its technology partner, Wannaby — the ‘Try On’ is a groundbreaking augmented reality function that allows the luxury brand’s customers to “try-on” its Ace sneakers at any time and from anywhere with a simple push of a button.
This new functionality of the Gucci App is a truly revolutionary step in the industry as it is the most precise and accurate shoe AR technology to be created till now. Moreover, it not only allows the internationally acclaimed fashion label to present its latest models of current and upcoming collections of shoes and sneakers to a global audience, but also offers an engaging, interactive experience to interested buyers, right from the comfort of their homes, cars, offices or wherever they happen to be.
And it’s very simple to operate, as well. Users just need to choose a pair of Ace sneakers on their screen, point their mobile phone’s camera at their feet and then virtually ‘try-on’ the selected shoes. If they like what they see, they can click on the link leading to the brand’s website and purchase the footwear. People can even take pictures of themselves “wearing” these sneakers and share it on social media. And since Gucci keeps reinventing and presenting multiple fresh, playful versions of the very popular Ace model, customers will have enough to keep them entertained.
Although the technology is currently only available on iOS phones, we hope it’ll soon extend to other platforms, too.
