Call them the Dream Team.
Three of the biggest names in both sports and fashion — Puma, Balmain, and Cara Delevingne — have joined forces to bring us what could possibly be one of the most exciting drops of the year.
Said to launch late this November, the exclusive Puma and Balmain collab is the first of its kind. It was designed by Balmain’s creative director Olivier Rousting and model Cara Delevingne, and is meant to bring together a sense of traditional boxing gear with a Parisian elegance. The 35-piece collection spans both sportswear and athleisure, and features everything from boxing shorts to sneakers and barrel bags.
“Working with one of our longest standing and iconic partners, Cara Delevingne, and marrying her vision with that of Balmain, such an iconic fashion label, was a huge achievement,” said Bjoern Gulden, CEO of Puma. “To be able to mix Puma’s sport heritage with Balmain’s historic couture legacy really took this collection to the next level. We look forward to continuing a partnership with both Cara and Balmain in the future.”
The bulk of the collection is in black but its apparel comes in stark red and blue hues with gold accents that won’t look out of place in Balmain’s couture atelier.
“Everyone involved—Puma, Balmain, Cara and me—was determined to create something timeless,” said Rousteing. “Above all, we knew that our message needed to be a strong one, reflecting exactly who we are and what we believe in.”
