For the third year running, Marni has officially arrived in Bangkok for the Marni Market 2019. This is a buzzing and vividly colourful annual collection of special bags, furnishing accessories, and funky knick-knacks which Marni has produced alongside communities of artisans. Now until August 31, wander around on the Ground Floor of Siam Discovery for this fun pop-up market hosting an exciting mix of limited edition Marni items. Here, we’ve gathered some of the fabulous items we spotted while we were over there.

With their love for prints and playfulness, Marni has become almost synonymous with bright and vivid colours. Not just in their clothes, but in their bags and accessories too. There’s often a subtly eccentric side to the brand’s creations, and that extends to their limited edition home furnishings and accessories that you’ll find at Marni Market 2019.
So what’s there to take home? Marni Market is full of flower side-tables, cactus magazine racks, weaved rocking chairs, eccentric animal sculptures and lots more. Everything is guaranteed to brighten up your home — not only with their colour but with the way they’re easily adapted to various kinds of functions.
Take this cactus sculpture, for example. The idea is that these structures can be used for anything you feel like — from holding magazines and small pot plants in your living room to placing them in the garden as quirky outdoor ornaments. These designs let you forget all about traditional house rules, allowing you to give the pieces a unique personality that complements you and your household.
At this year’s Marni Market, you’ll also find striped cotton hammocks and colourful bandanas featuring pixelated drawings. There’s a naturally summery vibe to the pieces from Marni Market, which makes them especially suited to life in Bangkok. The cheerful accessories and designs will get you feeling like you’re forever on holiday, even if you’re just at home
However, every year, the real highlights of Marni Market are always their specially crafted handbags. From hand-woven basket bags in PVC to crochet tote bags in cotton and wool, there’s a rich sense of skilled artisanship in every piece as well as a playful colourfulness.
Because each piece is hand-crafted and specially designed, the items at Marni Market are incredibly special and unique. Be sure not to miss out on picking up some of these hand-woven bags because they’ll only be availably at this year’s Marni Market. Not only do they come in fantastically bright colours, but they’re also sturdy and practical — perfect for replacing plastic bags at your next grocery shop. But most importantly, these bags also support small communities of artisans in Colombia and Italy, for whom Marni ensures fair pay and ethical work.
