Salvatore Ferragamo Red Vara 1 Patent Bow Pumps

Finding the perfect outfit for CNY reunion dinner is a real struggle. When the long-ago-seen cousins and relatives are ready to attack and criticise your look the minute you see each other, you know you need to bring your A game to the very special day. So this February 5, I’m planning to rock in my GIVENCHY dress and these sleek, red-as-blood polished shoes by Salvatore Ferragamo. The Red Vara 1 Patent Bow Pumps (THB 20,095) are made entirely from leather and are specked beautifully with the Vara bow with a golden logo buckle for a chic look. Stylish and simply elegant, I mean, how could you not love it? — Kankanit Wichiantanon, Staff Writer.

Chiva-Som Revitalising Facial Mask

The international wellness resort located in Hua Hin is known for creating products using Thai ingredients that are just about as natural as one can go. What with all these dirt particles flying through the air, I am even more reluctant these days to put even more chemicals on my face, which is why products by Chiva-Som are a God-send. This Revitalising Facial Mask (THB 1,950) is a moisture-rich mask cream filled with herbs, aromatherapy oils and naturally-derived actives that serve to reduce pigmentation as well as nourish, repair and brighten my skin. With ingredients such as pink clay, shea butter, alpha arbutin, sandalwood, rose and pomegranate, my skin is being given the VIP treatment, exactly what it needs in the midst of Bangkok’s pollution crisis. – Catherine Napalai Faulder, Managing Editor

Prada USB Robot Keyring

I love keyrings. I love Prada. I love cute little robots. So it seems I have no choice but to love this really adorable robot keyring/USB cable I found at the new Prada store in ICONSIAM. Super functional, super kitsch, it’s a typical 21st century accessory but still a must-have for the techie fashionista. My obsession with it didn’t even dwindle when I found out that the cable is for androids only – a heartbreaking fact for all of us iPhone users. Still, you could use it to charge your speakers and basically anything that wasn’t made by Steve Jobs. And if there’s a man in your life who’s on android, the robot would make an adorable gift for guys. This one’s THB 9,500 and only available in stores, but there are other robot friends you can choose from (with various tool functions!) online. – Karn Chatikavanij, Style Writer

RADO DiaMaster Ceramos Rose Gold

RADO has a thing for experimenting with materials, which is why their watches always catch my eye, even though I’m actually more of a tourbillon and complications timepiece lover at heart. Regardless, I spotted this DiaMaster Ceramos Rose Gold (THB 72,900) this week while browsing Valentine’s Day gift ideas (a girl can dream), and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since. Made with a marriage of high-tech ceramic and metal, Ceramos is a very interesting material, combining the lightness and durability of ceramic with the lustre of metal. I love the warm rose gold shine of the timepiece, and that the dial is relatively large yet still very slim and smooth. Minimalistic, classic, and sophisticated, it’s a timepiece I can imagine myself wearing everyday and to any occasion, much unlike the more complicated movements in a tourbillon or perpetual calendar watch. I sound like I’m swooning, and that’s because I am. RADO strikes again. —  Lisa Gries, Staff Writer

Off-White Zip Tie Mules

The ironic and industrial aesthetics of Off-White are kind of hit-and-miss for me, but as a fashion writer and rap fan I enjoy snooping around at what’s come out of Virgil Abloh’s mind. I keep coming back to look at these eye-catching blue jelly mules because, well…they’re blue jelly mules. There’s something about their outrageous plastic look and bold colour contrast that I love, and I can even see the little red tags pretend to be hong baos so you could wear these for a Chinese New Year party. For THB 26,425 they might feel risky, but I think they’re easier to pair outfits with than you’d expect. Although, whatever you wear them with will definitely be thrown into a whole new avant-garde dimension and given a devilish attitude. – KC
