Celine Mid Lace-Up Sneakers

Last week, Celine opened its iconic new store at ICONSIAM, the first in Southeast Asia to espouse the brand’s new design concept. Being the last of the luxury stores to open at ICONSIAM since Bangkok’s latest luxury mall had its grand opening, we can understand why the store took a while to open and thus, fully appreciate its beauty. With marble and stone walls flown in from Italy, Iran and France and a spacious design aesthetic made all the greater with the use of colours, mirrors and lighting, it was definitely well worth the wait. With gorgeous items from the latest Spring/Summer 2019 collection, such as handbags, bomber jackets, boots, dresses and wallets, what caught my attention the most were the sneakers. I mean, you just wouldn’t normally associate Celine with killer sneakers that are so undeniably cool and chic, yet the French label really nails it, with at least 8 pairs of sneakers I would easily buy and rock readily. Alongside silver, gold and white low lace-ups, these Mid Lace-Up Sneakers (THB 21,300) really do it for me. Available at ICONSIAM. – Catherine Napalai Faulder

Kloset Sun Bathing Suit

First of all: Happy Songkran! Second of all: remember what we said about wearing bright, neon colours for the festivities? Well, you’re sure to stand out from the crowd with this electrifyingly pink bathing suit from Kloset (THB 5,850). Perfect for splashes and parties, it’s a sure winner for celebrating Songkran with style and practicality. The glittery stars just add that much more pop to the fun and the sporty shape means you can just about get away without a clingy t-shirt. What’s more, it would pair great with all the flowers you’ll be wearing around your neck and in your hair. These come in pink or green, so grab a friend and go matching. – Karn Chatikavanij, Style Writer

Supergoop! But First, Sunscreen

It can be so difficult to decide what to do for Songkran. Whether you stay in the city and revel in what is the only time of the year wherein traffic appears to be non-existent, or you head abroad and unwind in the comfort of the longest public holiday of the year, there is one thing you will definitely always need: sunscreen. The perfect vacation companion or an ideal tester amount, I love this Supergoop! But First, Sunscreen Limited Edition travel set (THB 925), featuring the Unseen Sunscreen, Defense Refresh Setting Mist, and Acai Fusion Lip Balm in perfectly on-the-go-appropriate sizes. I recently learned about Supergoop! through an article about must-have sunscreens, and it caught my attention for more than just its fun name. The brand is wholly dedicated to sun protection, and their products are serious proof thereof. With April being the hottest month of the year here, and sunscreen increasingly climbing to the top of daily must-wear products, Supergoop! has me super set. Let the festivities begin. — Lisa Gries, Staff Writer

Dolce & Gabbana Metallic Glitter Sandals

Call me crazy but when it comes to shoes, I’m an addict. And hey, it’s more of a blessing than a disease since shoes always weave the whole outfit together as well as making a perfect centrepiece that makes your style go from ordinary to chic. And I usually plan my style from the shoes up, that’s why it’s always a must to go for the wild ones. This pair by Dolce & Gabbana, in particular, has caught my full attention. The Metallic Glitter Sandals (THB 44,300) got me genuinely excited for its stylish slash unique heels of the brand’s initials. Literally, I can’t deal with the catastrophe of not having it in my possession so there’s no question that this baby will have to be mine soon.– Kankanit Wichiantanon, Staff Writer.

Vetements Weekday Baseball Caps

If you’re anything like me during the holiday season, you’re going to be completely hopeless at remembering what day it is. Time somehow stops existing when we go on retreats, getaways, and digital detoxes. So, this made me think of these whimsical Vetements caps that simply say each day of the week on them – in characteristic Vetements style, of course. A celebrity favourite, each hat (THB 12,900) brings a modern and active look to your off-duty days. And you just know there’s a sense of humour in whoever wears these. I love any accessory that can make people smile, and I have a feeling these will do the trick. I’ll take seven of them. – KC
