Marc Jacobs Beauty Enamoured Hi-Shine Nail Lacquer Set

Weekly Obsessions: Marc Jacobs Beauty

Are you feeling festive? I’m feeling pretty festive. And making me look both pretty and festive this season is this limited edition Marc Jacobs Beauty Enamoured Hi-Shine Nail Lacquer Set (THB 950). I love that the colours are apt for the season without being too literal (reds and greens are giving me the snoozes at this point), and I love that the nail lacquer comes out with a very snazzy wet look and plasticised finish. Both shades were designed exclusively for the Marc Jacobs Fall 2018 runway, and with names like ‘Lapis of Luxury’ for the vibrant violet and ‘Plum Fiction’ for the raspberry plum, they’re bagging in plenty of cool points, too. Perfect for Christmas feasts and winter evening drinks, I am now ready for the holiday season. From the top of my Santa hat to the tip of my high shine manicured finger tips, where’s the party at? — Lisa Gries, Staff Writer

Swarovski Creativity Chandelier Earrings

Weekly Obsessions: Swarovski

There’s no month better than this one to embrace your inner snow queen. Inspired by an enchanting fairytale garden, I have been falling for these Swarovski Creativity Chandelier Earrings (THB 9990) from the Austrian jewellery brand’s Creativity Line. Being a writer — and that too for jewellery — I am a fan of anything that dubs itself ‘creative’, especially when it comes in opulent cascading earring form. The delicate pavé-encrusted filigree silhouette has something almost vintage-inspired about it, beautifully reminiscent of lace, and elegantly suited for all my wintery dinner dates. Featuring gracefully moving stones, the earrings appear to scintillate and sway a little, dialling up the glamour at any event. Ring ring, fabulousity has entered the building. – LG

Dean & Deluca Christmas Gift Set

Weekly Obsessions: Dean & Deluca

I don’t know about your household, but in my home, we give food as a way of showing our appreciation and love. And as I strolled past the foodie heaven of Dean & Deluca last week, their selection of food-filled baskets absolutely caught my eyes with the red-painted box filled with holiday cheer. Therefore, I knew I needed to get it for my folks back home. My favourite gift choice from there has to be the Cosmopolitan Set (THB 1,500) — which is a special gift set in collaboration with the Line Man application. Crammed with chocolates, confectionaries, and quality tea, the food hamper has made my gifting game reach the new height this 2018. – Kankanit Wichiantanon, Staff Writers

Salvatore Ferragamo Vara RW Handbag

Weekly Obsessions: Ferragamo

I was intrigued by Salvatore Ferragamo’s Pre-Spring 2019 Collection from the get-go and here’s why: creative directors Paul Andrew and Guillaume Meilland said they were inspired by an escape from the cityscape to chic interiors, and from the noise of public life to the enclaves of quiet privacy. It’s an idea that is right up my street during these hectic holiday moments, and upon spotting the new Vara RW handbag (THB 68,900), I was sold. Yes, it’s bright, bold, and colourful, and yes it’s both loud and quiet at the same time. And yet, it works exactly for what the two designers propose. I’m imagining myself as a lazy weekender, dressed in blue jeans and a white tee doing my casual thing on a casual Saturday afternoon. Enter this bag, and my look is elevated. I’m out in bustling Bangkok and then I’m indoors with wine and cheese at home with friends. It completes my look, but also carries it well throughout the day. Also, it’s rainbow-coloured. I feel like I need not really say much more. Vara, I like you vara much. — LG

HARNN Jasmine Road of Inspiration Set V

I have a bit of a confession. Up until this month, I had only tasted HARNN’s incredible Tichaa herbal teas (which, by the way, are caffeine-free and changed my morning cuppa forever), yet had never actually tried any of the beauty products the wellness brand is so well-known for. Part of the New Year Collection 2019, I tested one lotion pump from the Jasmine Road of Inspiration collection the other day, and have been swooning ever since. The natural jasmine scent comes through as wonderfully fragrant without being overwhelming, and is absorbed into the skin smooth and lightly. The best thing? It even comes in a set (THB 3150) with other natural jasmine products (think cleansing gel, shampoo, conditioner, and hand cream), making for an ideal gift, too. (Yes it’s also totally fine if that gift is from you to you). — LG
