Weekly Obsessions: Fritz Hansen Vase

Fritz Hansen Ikebana Vase

As everyone knows, Mother’s Day is coming up. And as everyone is doing, I’m frantically searching for a good gift for the woman in question. But here I think I’ve found something that would warm the hearts of any mother. This Fritz Hansen ‘Ikebana’ flower vase combines everything a Bangkokian mum can’t help but adore: beautiful Japanese craftsmanship, home decor, and gorgeous floral arrangements. I’m no expert in any of these fields, so I really appreciated that Fritz Hansen is offering a specially curated complimentary flower bouquet to go with your purchased Ikebana vase for your mum. And knowing Fritz Hansen, that’s going to be a bloomin’ beautiful bouquet. Join me in the favourite child club — they’re taking orders now until 10 August 2019. Tel: 02-015-4164 (Prices from THB 5,900 – 10,900). — Karn Chatikavanij, Style Writer

Off-White Diag Binder Backpack

Virgil Abloh had me at paper clips. The king of effortless cool caught eyes and likes when he teased a snapshot of his jewellery line earlier this year, inspired by seemingly mundane stationary. This same charm continues to exude high and fly style points in this Off-White Diag Binder Backpack (THB 48,469), which is made from leather with a drawstring fastening and an eye-catching diagonal print. I love the central clip accent, and I love that there is something so casual yet so chic about this piece. A part of me wishes I could go back to school just to become the most downright style-savvy girl on campus with this number, yet another part of me also thinks it’s pretty ab fab to rock even now; en route to meetings, en route to weekends, or just out about town. — Lisa Gries, Staff Writer

Another Story

Another Story Body Cream

It’s essential to hydrate your body well through drinking water, so for me, it also makes perfect sense to nourish my body well by moisturising it. I’ve tried countless creams, but this time around, the new Another Story’s Body Cream (THB 680) is my absolute favourite. It is non-greasy and light-scented so it doesn’t make me feel like I’m covered in grease, either. – Kankanit Wichiantanon, Staff Writer

Weekly Obsessions: Fritz Hansen Vase, Ganni

Ganni Babydoll Top

My obsession with this Insta-famous Scandinavian label has been long-running. Now, Club 21 Bangkok has just brought in a whole new range of brands and to my absolute delight (but my bank account’s horror), and Ganni is one of them. I love the combination of the boyish green and black with the more feminine bow straps on this babydoll top (THB 6175). Being made from breathable seersucker — that oh-so-trendy summer material — makes it super wearable during these humid days too. — KC

Weekly Obsessions: Fritz Hansen Vase, Rosantica

Rosantica Mademoiselle feather-trimmed bag

This silky-smooth pink cotton-candy-like tote bag is the definition of adorable. Rosantica’s Pink Mademoiselle feather-trimmed bag (approx. THB 15,378) is one of the coolest furry tote bags I’ve seen. After all, nothing makes more of a fashion statement than flaunting anything that has fur. It’s no winter here in Bangkok, but carrying this fuzzy soft bag feels right even during the summer. I know it may look as soft as a blanket, but I also know it will keep my essentials secure. Embellished with a gold-tone chain strap and tassel, this bag adds an ethereal feel to your outfit. The baby-pink cloud will sure burst the bubble around you and catch everyone’s attention! — Alisha Pawa, Staff Writer

Weekly Obsessions: Fritz Hansen Vase, Guerlain

Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Ginger Picante

I won’t lie to you: I was low-key intrigued by this perfume solely because it sounds like a tea I would like to drink. Nevertheless, this is no tea, but rather an intensely fresh new fragrance unveiled most recently by Guerlain, as part of the Aqua Allegoria line. Aqua Allegoria is a great one, in large part because it combines the freshness of a Cologne with the hold of a perfume, making it a long-lasting and delicious scent. This Ginger Picante (THB 3360) variation features aphrodisiac notes of ginger blended with fresh-blossomed roses ‘in the morning’. I love that last note and detail, and indeed it shines through when sporting the scent. Granted, there’s also an all-new Flora Cherrysia and Coconut Fizz fragrance as part of the new line, but if you know me, you’ll know I’m definitely more of a piquant kinda gal. — LG
