Issue Thailand’s Hippie Dress

Extra long and baggy T-shirt or super hippie-style dress? Whatever you’d call this beautiful artistic creation, I’m absolutely in love with this hippie dress by Issue Thailand, which perfectly encapsulates the Thai fashion label’s vibrant, fun and colourful style. It’s the sort of thing you could throw on casually while still making a bold style statement. It’s the sort of thing that will definitely turn heads – and depending on the way you rock it for good reasons. This particular design hasn’t even been seen yet on the runway, so the price is still an estimate (somewhere between THB 8,000–10,000) but you’ll definitely be able to see it and shop it on the runway next week during Bangkok International Fashion Week 2019. Issue will be releasing its 20th Anniversary Collection during the Grand Runway @ Parc Paragon at Siam Paragon next week on 28 March, and I cannot wait to see what else the brand will be releasing! – Catherine Napalai Faulder, Managing Editor

Wakingbee Slash Tights and Trinity Bra

It’s mid-March and I have a bit of a confession: we’re three months into the new year (almost four), and I still haven’t gotten a handle on my love handles. The holiday season has come and gone, yet Bangkok seems to be constantly brimming with excuses to wine, dine, and snack, and I haven’t found the time to get a squat in sideways. Until now. Nothing quite says #Fitspiration like some fabulous gym attire, and on discovering this Wakingbee Trinity Bra (THB 1,490) and Slash Tights (THB 1,790) set, I think I’ve found some stylish inspiration to put down the doughnuts and pick up the dumbbells. A Thai brand that prides itself in making gear that looks and feels good, I love the alluring detail on the back of the sports bra, pairing nicely with the mesh in the leggings. There’s something very cool about this look; a look for someone who has their workout routine together. Time to get changed and be that person. Thanks for the motivation, Wakingbee! — Lisa Gries, Staff Writer

Lacoste Wildcard Sneakers

New on the shelves, these Wildcard Sneakers (THB 4,590) from Lacoste’s new spring collection are unashamed pandering to the 90s kids. They’re a retro take on the iconic LT 150 court sneaker, now with an elevated elegance. I love the sporty-sophisticated look and anything that can balance performance and style with comfort and durability is a win for me. The subtle pop of colour on the minimal creamy white base gives them a clean modern lift and a look of laidback luxury. But if you’re up for something a little more than minimalism, you could go like Bangkok street artist Benzilla and draw your own designs on them! The Wildcard Sneakers come in red or green and are now available at the new flagship in Central World (2F). – Karn Chatikavanij, Style Writer

Chato Studio Mini Bucket Bag

I know everyone’s obsessed with bucket bags this season, but how can you not be when they really are the most adorable things ever? This little gem (THB 4,990) combines everything that’s loved in fashion right now – bucket silhouettes, logos, and the colour pink. With two detachable straps, you can either cross it over your shoulders or swing it around by the handle, which – may I point out – is gorgeously fluffy. The rich, shiny surface also makes it perfect for more glitzy occasions too. Visit Chato Studio at Central Embassy, or order online. Now to find a fluffy pink spade to go with it… – KC

Fritz Hansen Fri Easy Chair

This Fri Easy Chair by Fritz Hansen (THB 160,500) is absolutely a timeless classic that will add a touch of comfort to any space it’s put in – and that’s mainly why I’m obsessed with it at the moment. With warm, sun-shade fabric upholstery from Fritz Hansen’s Christianshavn textile collection enveloping the whole chair, Fri totally accentuates my room with friendly yet stylish glam. Meanwhile, the curved back and arms also provide comfy back support. So there’s really no questioning that the chair has now become my favourite cushy reading spot. – Kankanit Wichiantanon, Staff Writer.
