Weekly Obsessions: O&B

O&B Audrey Bambi Shoes

When I visited O&B’s newly opened, first-ever boutique in Emporium, I did that thing where you circle the shop for ages because you can’t make a decision. O&B are famous for their huge selection of shoes that are somehow all adorable. Their ballet pumps are also known for being impossibly comfortable. Seriously, stepping into their insoles is like dipping your feet in a bowl of cream. While I don’t recommend doing the latter, I will narrow down the selections and recommend these joyful O&B Audrey shoes (THB 3890) that have just launched in collaboration with Ploy Chava (Chavaporn Laohapongchana). The bright neon and kitsch bambi stamp obviously has the notoriously colourful Instagram influencer all over it. Giving your childhood a stylish, modern twist along with the indulgent comfort of O&B footwear, these are the must-haves of the week! — Karn Chatikavanij, Style Writer

Canitt SS2019 Blazer

There is something about this Canitt SS 2019 blazer (THB 12,500) and pant (THB 8500) that I can’t stop obsessing over. It doesn’t help that its lookbook was shot off a cliff of what looks like Mykonos or Phang Nga at golden hour. This suit and I are riding into the sunset together. It has been decided. From the casually cool cinched waist to the elegant silhouette and sophisticated texture, the two-piece is part of the Thai brand’s Spring/Summer 2019 collection, aptly entitled ‘Blissfully Yours’. I love that I can’t decide whether to wear this to my Monday meeting or to a sundowner cocktail sesh (or both), and I love that whenever I look at it I feel like taking on a fresh Greek-goddess-from-the-1970s persona. Balancing fine feminine wear with utter fabulosity, it’s the kind of timeless look that can work anywhere and everywhere. How does the saying go? “You’ll always be well-dressed in a white two-piece suit”? I kid you. It’s not really a saying. But me and this Canitt showstopper certainly almost had you there, didn’t we? — Lisa Gries, Staff Writer

MacKenzie-Childs Royal Check Tea Kettle

I’m a true coffee aficionado. And when I make coffee, this Royal Check Tea Kettle (THB 5,143) by MacKenzie-Childs is my essential. Crafted from steel, this stylish kettle boasts a hand-painted blue royal check pattern which I absolutely adore. With the wooden handle and the use of bronze material, the kettle evokes vintage luxury charm that somehow makes my coffee tastes scrumptiously better. Loving it too? I say it’s time you say “bye bye” to that humdrum grey-hued kettle of yours. — Kankanit Wichiantanon, Staff Writer

Weekly Obsessions: Panerai

Panerai Luminor Yachts Challenge 44mm

I recently went on a yacht trip off the Thai coast and besides a vaguely lobster-like sun burn, came back with a newfound love for boating. Whilst I don’t know the first thing about sailing (though I look forward to learning), as a watch writer I do know a lot about watches, and found myself drawn to this new Panerai Luminor Yachts Challenge timepiece (THB 1,024,600) this week. Part of a series of three chronographs, the watch draws from Panerai’s link to the world of the sea, which dates back to even more than a century ago. Inspired by the beauty of classic yachts, the 44mm timepiece features a gold case and ocean-blue dial with white luminous Arabic numerals and indexes. A flyback chronograph sits within the dial, as well as a knots scale for calculating average boat speed. I never knew I needed a knots scale on my wrist, but now I do, and I kind of love it. — LG

Weekly Obsessions: Kate Spade

Kate Spade On Purpose Nylon Bow Wristlet

Happy International Women’s Day! Even though we might be celebrating women everyday, there are still some communities that are in some serious need of female empowerment. It’s thrilling to see fashion houses go that extra mile to promote worldwide girl power today, but it’s Kate Spade that’s been doing this all year round. With their ‘On Purpose’ collection, Kate Spade works closely with suppliers in underprivileged communities to build their handbags. Since 2014, they’ve supported over 150 women in Masoro, Rwanda to empower them personally, financially, and creatively. These women have gone on to run thriving business for themselves as well as producing all of Kate Spade’s ‘On Purpose’ accessories. The whole collection is pretty gorgeous too. I especially love this little wristlet clutch (THB 3315); the black nylon is perfectly chic and the big elegant bow completes any look with a bit of girl power. — KC
