Sunday Riley CEO Glow Vitamin C + Turmeric Face Oil

Granted, I kind of love this one a good 50% purely for its name — though its name is quite a famous one if you’re in with the skincare crowd. Vitamin C is the hottest star on that scene lately, yet combined with turmeric (long an Asian skincare secret, let’s be honest) and packaged by the ever-trendy Sunday Riley, it’s only natural that you’ve got yourself a serious showstopper. Sunday Riley’s CEO Glow face oil (THB 3380) is killing it. Winning beauty awards front, right, and centre, I am so thrilled to now see it available here in Bangkok, bringing youthful radiance to all our monsoon-season-troubled faces. Designed to recharge the skin, the oil delivers cold-pressed, nutrient-rich extracts, giving your complexion that young, bright, and nurtured appeal. You may call it a ‘CEO Glow’, though this week I’m definitely calling it an essential. Also, can I officially be inaugurated into the aforementioned skincare cool kids crew now? — Lisa Gries, Staff Writer

Issey Miyake Aroma Pleats Bag

For me, the genius of Issey Miyaki has always been about how the designs combine cutting-edge modernity with traditional Japanese art. There’s a very distinctive architecture to every Miyaki piece, and things don’t look the conventional way they should. Just take this new Aroma Pleats Bag (THB 7500) for example, which looks more like a herbal compress than a handbag. The origami structure gives it that zen look, which is enhanced by the brand’s signature pleats. It looks soft and light to carry, and is a perfect blend of artistry and functionality. The Aroma Bag is part of Issey Miyake’s latest AW19 collection and comes in many uplifting colours (this one’s ‘Banana’). — Karn Chatikavanij, Style Writer

Moschino

Moschino Teddy Bear Ring Umbrella

Staying dry in Bangkok’s rainy season is quite a task in itself. Carrying an umbrella is mandatory, but when it comes to choosing one, I get really fussy. When I came across this Moschino Teddy Bear Ring Umbrella (approx. THB 3,614) I thought, “this is it”. The adorable charm of Moschino’s teddy bear printed on every angle got me hooked right away. How can you not fall in love with this one? Yes, teddies are my weakness. Moschino’s umbrella is stylish and chic and it’s embellished with yellow, brown, and black graphic prints. It’s light-weight, durable, and has a wind-resistant frame, which is pretty much the perfect ingredient to a long-lasting umbrella. Moschino has always been a playful brand, and this item reflects their core personality. No wonder these have been selling like hot-cakes. I must hurry to get myself one. — Alisha Pawa, Staff Writer

Diane von Furstenburg TVF Rosemary Crepe Mini Dress

You know how people say there’s nothing like a Little Black Dress? I have always actually been a firm believer in and lover of the Little White Dress. I love the innocence and purity associated with white pieces (though the allure and sensuality is certainly all the same), and I find them a lot more easy to wear on days where I want to look casual and elegant. Enter the epitome of casual cool and elegant: 20-year old princess, Georgetown University student, and granddaughter of the infamous Diane von Furstenberg, Talita von Furstenberg. That’s right, the German-American princess has designed a capsule collection exclusively for her famous fashion relative, ultimately proving that great style and skill really runs in the family. This Rosemary Crepe Mini Dress (THB 15,800) beautifully encapsulates that vibe, combining the classic sophisticated DvF style of dress with a youthful freshness. Feminine and yet fun, it makes for the perfect Sunday kind of dress. Did someone say brunch? Did someone say coffee date? Did someone say rooftop picnic? I’m ready. — LG

Marc Jacobs Beauty Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer Lipgloss

I always think a statement “lip” is a great (and easy) way to finish off an outfit. Even if you’re just in a white T-shirt and jeans, a high-shine pink lipgloss can have the power to make you look super glamourous. The best one I’ve tried recently is the new Enamored Lip Lacquer (THB 1100) from Marc Jacobs Beauty in the ‘Ch-Ch-Changes’ shade (yes, half of my obsession is with the song title names). I was amazed at how much colour and brilliance can be packed into a single brush on the lips. The almost holographic shimmer also contributes to an optical plumping effect and the texture is somehow never sticky. Oh, and it’s even mint-scented to freshen you up before a night out. — KC
