First Look: Dusit Thani Laguna, Dusit International’s first Singapore property

The hospitality industry isn’t doing so great given COVID-19 and all its effects, but that hasn’t stopped Dusit International from opening a new debut property.

The wellness-focused urban resort, Dusit Thani Laguna Singapore, is located within the grounds of the acclaimed Laguna National Golf & Resort Club, and officially opened its doors to guests on 4 December 2020.

The five-star establishment will be the first in Singapore with direct access to two championship golf courses.

Members of Laguna National Golf & Resort Club will also benefit from the enhanced facilities brought on by the multi-million- dollar development of this unique urban resort,” said Eric Piatti, General Manager of Dusit Thani Laguna Singapore.

Guests will be able to take their pick from 198 tastefully-decorated rooms and suites, complete with amenities from brands like L’Occitane and Nature Touch. Outside their private space, holidaymakers can indulge in any of the resort’s a fully-equipped large scale gym, three tennis courts, three swimming pools, and a sublime wellness centre with seven treatment rooms.

The resort has also come up with the Dusit Wellness programme, which offers plant-based ‘Healthy Power Foods’, ranging from fresh salads prepared with ingredients harvested from the resort’s very own Laguna Organic Farm, to low-carb and gluten-free options. The programme also comes with a Sleep Well menu that allows guests to personalise their experience with essentials that will help promote a good night’s rest.

These facilities are aimed to provide a holistic wellness approach for guests, which covers various aspects of living – socially, physically, environmentally, spiritually, emotionally, intellectually and vocationally.

Feeling hungry? Guests can feast on any of the establishment’s five dining choices. This includes Greenhouse, an all-day multi-ethnic restaurant with five different kitchens as well as Tee Deck, an alfresco bar & grill that’ll be serving popular Thai street food.

Unlike most hotels in town, the resort is nestled on the east side of the island, just a short 10-minute drive from Changi International Airport, making it the perfect destination for a stay that’s off the beaten track. If you’re not too fond of roaming around the verdant grounds, charming areas like Katong, Joo Chiat and Siglap are close enough for you to explore too.
