As we hop and skip into the sweet and final month of the year, there’s no time like the present to get dreaming about our travel plans for next year. Between cuisine and culture, Turkey is suddenly climbing to the top of our list.

Six Senses has expanded its luxury footprint into Istanbul, Turkey, as they open doors to guests at their latest offering: Six Senses Kocataş Mansions. Similar to their other properties, Six Senses took to updating the two Ottoman-era mansions with modern offerings for the discerning traveller. The concept of updating heritage buildings is especially significant in Istanbul. In a city where contradictions are embraced — whether it is the blend of east and west or the infusion of the ancient and the modern, the establishment seems to be almost a physical reflection of the city today.

Six Senses Kocataş Mansions, is situated at the prosperous Sariyer district of Istanbul’s European side, famous for its “Pearls of Bosphorus” waterfront properties. The urban getaway occupies two historic mansions, the Kocatas Mansion and Sait Pasa. They were both previously owned by Necmettin Molla Kocataş, former Minister of Justice and founder of Kocatas Water.

The former site of the 19th-century Kocataş Mansions was devastated in a fire years ago, but the property pays homage to the past by recreating its historic architectural features and artefacts. The establishment also boasts tremendous views of the Bosphorous Strait, and each of its 45 generous rooms and suites includes design features showcasing Istanbul’s history with local traces. The stately mansions are also home to the all-day Kahve cafe and Toro, Asian-Latin gastro bar serving up Pan-South American and Asian cuisines.

Guests who want to gain a bit more insight into this exciting city can engage the hotel to curate experiences to enrich their stay. These experiences include Turkish coffee workshops, market excursions and tours around the cobblestone streets of the city.

From now till January 31, 2020, book any room in Six Senses Kocataş Mansions and save 20 percent off the Best Available Rate for any room type. For the Junior Suite and higher categories, enjoy an additional EUR 50 credit for each day of your stay.
