Gucci picks Paris’ Place Vendôme for its first ever high-jewellery store

It seems like Kering is really keen on comforting its place as a leader in the fine jewellery segment. The international group recently announced the opening of the very first Gucci high-jewellery store. In Paris, no other location encapsulates the sophistication and savoir-faire of historical jewelers better than Place Vendôme, which his exactly where Gucci is set to open. The announcement comes just a few weeks after the update given to the Boucheron headquarters — which we recently given an in-depth visit, but more on the topic very soon…

“The launch of a high-jewellery line for Kering will reinforce Gucci’s position as a very high-end brand.”, François-Henri Pinault, CEO and chairman of Kering, recently stated.

The new store is set to arrive at the number 16 of the Parisian square, right next to Qeelin, and directly facing the famous Vendôme column.

The first collection, named Hortus Delicarium was entirely designed by Alessandro Michele. The Italian designer, who’s had a wonderful success recently with the resurgence of an elevated bohemian, almost arcane, look in Gucci’s aesthetic has hence taken a new challenge. The 200 piece line promises to show a bespoke edginess the Italian brand has been showing for a few seasons now. Check out the whole collection directly on location, at the address below.
