Phillips Hong Kong is hosting its first cross-category online auction

The new Phillips auction, titled Refresh:Reload, is open for online biddings only, and features a mix of categories from jewellery to watches and art.

As a response to the growing number of cross-category collecting habits resulting from the ever-evolving taste of global collectors, Phillips just rolled out its first ever cross-category auction, Refresh:Reload — an online-only sale that welcomes bidders everywhere from now through 28 May at 10 pm (HKT).

Offering a total of 180 lots, the online auction presents a mix of items ranging from watches to jewellery, as well as 20th century and contemporary art including pieces by Yayoi Kusama, George Condo, Andy Warhol, Banksy, and Yoshitomo Nara.

These lots have been aptly curated into two sections, ‘Refresh’ and ‘Reload’. The former features items with a more romantic and lighthearted aesthetic such as colourful contemporary artworks and sophisticated jewellery and timepieces, while the latter offers a more cutting-edge edit of jewellery and watches, along with fresh, trend-setting art and collectibles.

While everything from the sale is available for online bidding only, you will be able to take a closer look at the selected highlights in real life, now exhibited at Phillips’ Hong Kong Gallery, by appointment only.
