Prepare to pay a visit to the dark side, because Ophelia is ready to take you to hell and back. To celebrate the Halloween season, the nightlife hot spot is presenting a week of performances called ‘Freak Show of O’, creating a space where dreams, fantasies and nightmares collide.
Taking inspiration from the frightfully popular TV series American Horror Story, different portions of Ophelia’s moody interior will be decorated to match the show’s first five seasons: Murder House, Asylum, Coven, Freak Show and Hotel. Guests will be invited to embark on a chilling journey into the delusional mind of the fictional character O. Here you’ll find yourselves walking amongst the deceased occupants of a haunted home, hiding from the criminally insane, battling evil spells cast by witches, gawking at a weird and creepy 1950s freak show and, if you like, checking into a very unusual hotel.
Beyond the décor, a series of mini shows — also inspired by American Horror Story — have been specially created for the occasion to create an all-around soul-stirring experience. Every night from 24 to 28 October 2016, professional entertainers and dancers will appear starting from 9pm to provide guests with two hours of dark, sexy and mysterious performances. To spice things up even further, on Friday night, as Halloween weekend begins, each guest will be provided with a free mask and cape to be worn throughout the night, a nod to the salacious film Eyes Wide Shut. On Saturday the 29th, there will be roaming acts rather than a full show, but guests must be dressed in Halloween attire — or else.
Early bird tickets are available from HK$200, with VIP and table bookings required in advance. For those who are interested, you can find more details here or contact email@example.com for assistance.
