Hong Kong’s largest music festival returns bigger and better every year: Clockenflap 2019 has just been announced for the weekend of 22–24 November, 2019 at the Central Harbourfront.

Announced way ahead of time, you’d surmise that it gives plenty of time to purchase tickets — that is, until you catch the incredible headliners slated for this year’s festival, ranging from international pop sensations to hip-hop talents and Asian icons. The first wave lineup has been announced today, including 21 thrilling Hong Kong live debuts.

Headlining the festival at the moment is none other than Halsey, Billboard record-breaking singer-songwriter queen; in addition to Indie folk foursome Mumford & Sons; 18-year-old Florida Rapper Lil Pump, the talent behind 2018 hip hop anthem ‘Gucci Gang’; as well as Taiwanese talents Crowd Lu (returning from his 2015 Clockenflap debut) and Waa Wei. Indie rock lovers will be thrilled to see The Kooks live for the first time in Hong Kong in over a decade, while electronic music fans can look forward to Honne and Mura Masa once again. Some of the hottest acts in music today are rounded out by top talents in eclectic genres such as post-punk, ‘kawaii metal’ and psychedelic rock — in what’s expected to be yet another dazzling Clockenflap weekend. Check out our playlist below for a taste of the best acts.
