The HKMoA is the city’s first public art museum, which now takes care of a 17,000-strong collection. Following a facelift that spanned more than four years, the museum reopened in late 2019 with blockbuster exhibits of contemporary Hong Kong art, historical ink collections, Chinese antiquities, as well as prized pieces on loan from the top art institutions from around the world.
