Three more sleeps till Christmas. With everything else set and ready in place for an extended weekend of festive fun — gifts wrapped; holiday cards sent; tree lit — the only thing left to do is decide on the great, big holiday feast.

While it looks like dining curfews are set to continue throughout this holiday season. Thankfully, Christmas is not entirely cancelled. Lay out your prettiest tableware, put your ugliest Christmas sweater and become the best holiday host by bringing restaurant-grade plates onto home dinner tables — with the help of these takeaway menus below of course.

Roganic

For a year that had nothing normal or customary about it, festive dinners hopefully will bring an ounce of tradition one-Michelin-starred Roganic’s takeaway, ‘Simon Rogan At Home.’ Full of holiday classics made for you to simply heat up and plate, you can expect roasted turkey with all the trimmings, a warm, nutty chestnut soup and a twist on a British mince pudding. The three-course menu will no doubt instil some festive cheer around the table — prelude with the delectable truffle pudding (HK$140) to whet appetites: It’s a savoury take on the classic bread and butter pudding, made with flaky croissant layers and infused with truffle custard, before being topped off with homemade black garlic emulsion.

Order/Takeaway details: The ‘Simon Rogan At Home’ three-course takeaway menu (HK$380 per person) is available from now through 23 December. Orders and add-ons can be placed here with one day in advance.

Zuma

The sharing boxes from Zuma’s izakaya-inspired takeaway menu will hopefully sate those appetites for finger-licking small plates at buzzy Shibuya joints, for now at least. The restaurant’s takeaway options arrive in two formats: ready-to-feast takeaway tasting menu (HK$880) that features spicy crab soup and Japanese wagyu tataki as dishes not-to-be-missed; and a pre-assembled, ingredients-and-recipe pack for dishing up Zuma’s signature Chilean sea bass and miso-marinated chicken in kitchens at home. Holiday tipples are also not amiss, with a choice of four bar favourites, including easily crushable delights such as the ‘Rubabu,’ a rhubarb-infused sake with vodka and passionfruit; or ‘Endo Margarita’, shaken with tequila, sake, El Maguey mezcal and yuzu.

Order/ Takeaway details: The takeaway tasting menu package (HK$880 per person) is available for pickup and delivery at info@zumarestaurant.com.hk from now through 1 January. Pick up and delivery hours are noon–9pm Monday to Friday, and 6–9pm on weekends.
